Previously: Recovering from the events of the season 1 finale “the lost”, Quill, Charlie, Ram, Matteusz and Tanya watched on as April spoke in the body of Corakinus. The six of them theorised how this could have possibly happened, and came to a realisation: This creature, who has the voice of April and the body of Corakinus, was created by the last Rhodian soul who was looking for a body, and is a hybrid of all three dead beings. The creature went rouge, holding Charlie at gunpoint and attempting to get its revenge for what had been done to all three by the Cole Hill students. Quill and Tanya held it at gunpoint but were knocked out by its shadow ray. The others hurried after it as it escaped the school to ensure that it did not terrorise the neighbourhood.

Tanya wakes up. Everything is hazy. She looks next to her. Everyone, even Quill, is gone.

Tanya: Quill? Charlie? Ram? Matteusz? Where is everybody?

Tanya hears scuttling around. She crawls into the corner of the room. There is a baby.

Tanya: Oh my god. How did you get here? What is-

Tanya screams as she sees the baby picking up Mrs Quill’s eyeball and eating it.

Tanya: No, you can’t. It can’t have happened already. Charlie? Ram? Matteusz? I need your help. Where is the hybrid? What is happening?

Tanya hurries towards the door and rushes out of it. She hurries down the corridor. There is a gunshot. She turns around and a man is standing there. He disappears.

Tanya: Hello? Who was that? Can you help me? Something’s happened. It’s hard to explain and it may sound ridiculous but I think my teacher has been eaten by her baby.

She walks into the room and the Quill baby is now dead.

Tanya: Oh my god you’re dead. But how did that happen? Oh you can’t answer me you’re dead. What’s happening? I need an explanation. Where are my friends? How did Quill get eaten so quickly? Is she really dead? Already?

Ram, Matteusz and Charlie rush out of Cole Hill Academy and into the street. The hybrid kills passers by. Charlie shoots at it but it does not do anything.

Corakinus: Are you really that naive? Your bullets cannot harm me.

Charlie: Just don’t harm us. Your problem is with us, and therefore you should take it out on us. Come back to the school and don’t murder anybody else.

Corakinus: If I go back inside of the school then you will lead me into another trap.

Charlie: No we won’t. Let’s make a deal. You can kill me and Quill, and then you leave. We can sort out a way for you to go anywhere in the universe that you wish.

Corakinus: All of you have wronged us. All of you shall be slaughtered.

Ram: I’m cool, man. I’m not up for being slaughtered any time today.

Corakinus: You sacrifice your lives, or more innocent people shall be killed.

Charlie: Okay, we accept. We hand ourselves over, and you will stop killing innocent people, and your revenge shall cease. This shall be our death.

Matteusz (Whispers): What the hell do you think you’re doing?

Charlie (Whispers): I know this doesn’t sound like the sort of plan that will keep us alive but we’re going to go through with it. We can create a trap. Just follow along.

Corakinus follows Ram, Charlie and Matteusz back into the school

Charlie: So then, just so I know what can I call you? April or Corakinus or-?

Corakinus: Names are irrelevant. They do not serve a purpose that will benefit what shall occur here today. The only thing I shall benefit from is your murder.

Charlie: Ah yes I forgot you were going to murder us. I didn’t think this one through.

Ram: I thought you said that you had thought this one through?

Charlie: No I really didn’t. I thought that Quill would be able to save us.

Tanya: Oh thank goodness! There you are! Quill is dead!

Charlie: What do you mean Quill is dead? She couldn’t have-

Tanya: The baby killed her whilst we were unconscious. It took its chance but now it is dead. This man came in and killed the baby. I have no idea why.

Corakinus: This is also irrelevant. You are just prolonging your inevitable demise.

Charlie: No, actually this is important. You remember Quill, don’t you? She’s dead. And that’s quite important and shocking news, so we need to deal with it.

Corakinus: There is no need to deal with it. She is dead and that is that.

Charlie: I need to mourn her. We’re not ruthless and cold hearted people like you probably are. We have a duty of care. I want to care for Quill, like she would have done if I had died. I need to see her, at least before you kill us.

Tanya: Wait, you are saying that the hybrid is going to kill you?

Corakinus: No, he is saying that I am going to kill all of you. Charlie came up with a deal-If I spare the lives of the innocent public, then I can take your lives.

Tanya: Don’t you think we should have had a say in this?

Matteusz: That’s what I thought but obviously our lives aren’t that important.

Charlie: That’s not it! I’m just trying to do what the Doctor told us to. I’m trying to save the public in whatever way I can from the terrors that Cole Hill Academy faces.

Tanya: If you let us die, then there will be no-one left to defend this world.

Charlie: But if the hybrid lets us live then those who we are trying to defend will suffer.

Corakinus: Make your decision. If you are unwilling to sacrifice your lives, then I shall leave this district, destroy everyone in the local area and never take your life.

Charlie: And none of us want him to do that.

Tanya: Well none of us want him to kill us either, but it looks like he’s going to.

Ram: Maybe we could talk about this in private, away from the hybrid.

Corakinus: You are not leaving. If I let you out of my sight then you will scheme about ways to get out of here and stop me, and I cannot allow that to happen.

Ram: I guess he’s right. I guess we could do that. But what the fuck are we going to do?

Corakinus: I recommend you die. I will warn you that I shall ensure your deaths are unpleasant, drawn out and horrific.

Matteusz: Oh great. That’s exactly how I wanted to spend today.

Charlie: Unless we can form some kind of deal with you, hybrid.

Corakinus: I doubt there are any deals you could make with me that would make up for all the pain and torment you have caused the three lives I inhabit.

Charlie: What part of you do you want to be, hybrid? April, Corakinus or the Rhodian?

Corakinus: I wish to be all three so I have enhanced capabilities which will give me the ability to slaughter all of you in the most painful and ruthless ways.

Charlie: I know that deep down, you want to be April again, don’t you?

Corakinus: Of course I do. That’s who I am the most. She’s who I feel like the most. There’s part of me that wants to kill you and not let you discuss this, but I don’t think I could kill you. I think the April inside of me would stop me from pulling the trigger and unleashing the shadow rage. She’s stopping me, and for some reason, I want to be her again.

Charlie: Well maybe there’s a way that we can make you her again.

Ram: Please don’t make empty promises, because we’re not going to get out alive.

Charlie: It said that the April would never let it kill us, so I think we’re safe. I’m just thinking that there must be a way to extract the April inside of you.

Corakinus: And how exactly would you do that?

Charlie: I’m not exactly sure just yet, but I’m sure there is a way.

Tanya picks up the gun on the floor and shoots at Corakinus.

Corakinus: What did you do that for, Tanya? What was your reasoning for that?

Tanya: I’m not taking any more of this. All of you are too scared of this hybrid to do anything, but I haven’t got anything left to lose, and I’m going to make a stand.

Charlie: Tanya, please, we’re trying to make a deal with the hybrid.

Tanya: I don’t care. We’re never going to get April back. We’re never going to secure peace with the hybrid. There’s no advantage of siding with him.

Matteusz: But it will mean that we get to keep our lives.

Tanya: I highly doubt it. You heard the hybrid-It wants to get its revenge. I know it said it wouldn’t kill us but it also said it was purely April earlier on. It’s tricking us.

Ram: You know what, Tanya’s riight. Kill the hybrid.

Corakinus: You do not stand a chance of killing me. I would give up while you can.

Charlie: He’s right. By doing this you’re both putting your life on the line anyway.

Ram: So what? I mean Tanya’s right, we have nothing left to lose.

Charlie: Please, Tanya, drop the gun. We may be able to help the hybrid and in return he may be able to help us. I haven’t worked the plan out yet but I will.

Tanya: How do I know you will? You’re just bargaining for your life.

Charlie: Aren’t we all? I mean you are but you’re just taking the wrong approach.

Tanya: Perhaps I am, but I don’t care. I’ve got to make some bold moves, eh? You’re making a bold move yourself by siding with the enemy.

Ram: Yeah, you’re trying to betray us by joining the enemy side, aren’t you?

Charlie: No, I am not. I’m trying my best to save myself, and save my friends. I don’t want to die here today, and I know you don’t either. I’m trying to do all I can to survive.

Matteusz: You said earlier that handing our lives over to the enemy was going to save our lives. I don’t think you know what you’re doing anymore, Charlie.

Charlie: Fucking hell, Matteusz, not you too. Please could somebody try to understand what I’m doing. I’m just trying to do what’s best for us all.

Ram: But it’s not going to work, because that creature wants to slaughter us.

Charlie: That creature has a part of April inside of it that wants to spare our lives. A part that cares about us. I want to set the April inside of it free. That’s all.

Tanya: But that’s not possible, is it? There’s no way in hell you could do that.

Charlie: We’ll find a way. I’m sure we could find a way. There’s always a way.

Tanya: But it seems that this time there isn’t. I’m sorry, Charlie, but none of us stick by your decision. This creature needs to be killed.

Corakinus: What’s stopping you then? Kill me. Kill me.

Tanya shoots at Corakinus again but no harm is placed on his life

Corakinus: It’s not possible, is it? None of you stand a chance against me. Stand with me and Charlie, and you may stand a chance of survival.

Tanya: We don’t stand a chance of survival either way, but there’s more hope of surviving here. Me, Ram and Matteusz are standing against you, hybrid.

Charlie: Well maybe there’s no point in you living anymore. Kill them, hybrid.

Ram: What? You’re telling the hybrid to kill us?

Charlie: There’s no point in you anymore. You’re all going to die soon anyway as a result of your stupidity, so why not now? Kill them, Corakinus.

Corakinus: I told you, there’s a part of me which is stopping me from killing them.

Charlie: Fine then. I guess I’ll just have to do it myself.

Charlie picks up a gun, but Tanya shoots him first. He drops to the floor.

Tanya: I’m sorry, Charlie, but I can’t let you do this.

Charlie: You-You-How could you betray me like this-

Matteusz: How could you try to kill us? After all we’ve been through. What’s got into you? What would be the point of killing us anyway.

Charlie: I need to protect my life, and you are going to get me killed.

Ram: Oh, so you are all you care about? I never knew you were a selfish prick.

Charlie: Yeah, well, maybe I am. And maybe it’s because I’m angry that I didn’t get to save Quill, or scared that the hybrid might be about to kill me.

Ram: You never cared about us. You were always just out for yourself.

Charlie: Yeah I was. Because I’m important. I know this creature is part Rhodian, but no Quill has gone I’m the only inhabitant of Rhodia left. I need to prolong my legacy, whereas there’s still billions of you, and your lives don’t really matter.

Tanya: Keep talking and I’ll shove another bullet through your head.

Matteusz: No, don’t kill him. You won’t be able to live with that.

Charlie: Have you noticed that the hybrid hasn’t killed you? Or hurt you? Or done anything to you? Doesn’t that show that really it is harmless.

Tanya: Yeah it does. Maybe you’re the true monster here, Charlie.

Charlie: What are you going to do, eh? What are you going to do without me? What are you going to do next? What is the point? What if more aliens flood through?

Tanya: That’s too many questions. At least leave a gap in between them.

Charlie: You need me, otherwise you have nowhere else to go. April’s dead, and Quill’s dead, and if you shove the second bullet in me then I will be too, and you’ll have nothing. No weapons, no defenses. The planet Earth will be doomed.

Tanya: Well at least I can take satisfaction in knowing I shot the Prince of Rhodia.

Matteusz: Please, I beg of you, don’t kill him. Leave him alive.

Tanya: He’s gone stark raving crazy. He will kill us all.

Matteusz: And are you saying you are totally sane at this point?

Tanya: You’re not going to go onto Charlie’s side are you?

Matteusz: No I’m not. I’m leaving. I don’t want to be on either side of this. I mean, usually I’d go onto Charlie’s side because he’s my boyfriend and everything, but know we’re growing distant, and he wouldn’t care if he killed me, so I don’t feel safe here. I’m leaving, and you know, don’t be surprised if you never see me again.

Ram: Where are you going to go?

Matteusz: Away from the aliens and the bloodshed. Away from Cole Hill Academy.

Charlie: Nobodies leaving, okay. I’ve got a gun in my hand too, and if anybody dares to leave this room then you will be shot.

Matteusz: You couldn’t shoot me, could you, Charlie? Surely I mean too much to you.

Charlie: You know what, I don’t care anymore. I really don’t care.

Corakinus: This is hilarious, isn’t it?

Tanya: What do you mean it’s hilarious? You’d be pretty sick if you thought it was.

Corakinus: This is exactly what I wanted. You have turned against each other, and I’ve got you in the exact position which I wanted you in.

Ram: What do you mean? What are you talking about?

Corakinus: I never really wanted to kill you. I wanted to do it in a much more painful way. I wanted you to torment yourselves, and then kill each other.

Matteusz: That’s actually quite clever, because it’s actually working.

Corakinus: Now you have turned against each other, you can’t trust anybody, and therefore in some way I have got my revenge the easy way, because I can still torment you and torture you, but I can get you to do that to each other.

Charlie: So this is what you wanted? For us to turn against each other.

Matteusz: Can I leave now please?

Charlie: I’ll still shoot you in the head if you do that. We need to resolve our differences, otherwise the hybrid will get what it wants.

Corakinus: And if you do that I will torture and torment you myself.

Tanya: I’m not being friends with you again, Charlie. You’re a dick head.

Charlie: I know I am. I’ve realised that today. But Corakinus wants us to turn against each other, so we need to resolve our differences.

Corakinus: I intend for you to end up dead either way.

Ram: There’s no benefit in this. Wouldn’t it just be easier for the hybrid to kill us?

A man walks into the room holding a gun

Man: Everybody do what I say. Don’t move.

Tanya: You were the man who killed Quill’s baby.

Man: I’m one of the Governors, and I need you to come with me.

In the Chair Room, the Governors turn around following the death of Dorothea

Chairman: Thankyou, Angel, we are honoured that you did that.

Governor: What do we do now? Dorothea is dead, we need to make some bold moves.

Chairman: Obviously we need to push forward with the plan. Any ideas?

Man: Not an idea, but more of a tangent. We have learnt that Quill is pregnant, and the baby could be a threat to us as it is a mix between Arn and Quill. This information could mean that we have to take out Quill and the baby, before it serves a threat.

Chairman: How exactly would this baby serve us a threat?

Man: The baby will be powerful, and strong, and could put a hold to our plan. Quill knows important things, and both of them need to be eradicated.

Chairman: Very well, but we also have other matters to discuss.

Man: Of course, though I have no suggestions about what to do with those.

Governor: We know what the plan is, and we know where we need to get to, so all we need is some stepping stones.

Man: Then I shall travel to Cole Hill Academy to eradicate the baby and then that will be one trouble ticked off our long list of troubles.

Governor: Indeed it will. We will focus on planning for the next stage of the mission.

Chairman: If you do well in this, then we may be able to give you a prize.

Man: I’d be honoured to receive one. I will succeed in this mission.

The man arrives in Cole Hill Academy. He spots Corakinus running out of the doors and Ram, Matteusz and Charlie rushing after him. He enters a classroom, where Quill and Tanya are unconscious. Quill wakes up. The baby is beginning to be released.

Quill: Who are you? Where did the hybrid go? What happened?

Man: It’s okay, Quill, there’s no need to panic. Just be peaceful in your final moments. The baby that is a hybrid between your race and the Arn is about to kill you.

Quill: Oh my god it’s happening. It’s finally fucking happening.

Man: Don’t worry, we’ll make sure that the baby dies once you have. Any last words?

Quill: You’re one of them aren’t you? The Governors? Whatever you have planned, we will stop you. Even my grave will not stop me hunting you down and killing you.

Man: There’s no way you or your little friends have any chance of stopping us.

Quill: Correction: They’re not my friends. But I do believe that they are capable of stopping you, if I have to say goodbye to this stupid little world.

The baby is released. The man shoots Quill in the head.

Man: Maybe it will be less painful if you are dead for the next bit.

The baby begins to eat Quill. Tanya wakes up. The man hides.

Tanya: Quill? Charlie? Ram? Matteusz? Where is everybody?

There is scuttling from elsewhere. The Governor takes his aim but he misses.

Tanya: Oh my god? How did you get here? What is-

Tanya screams. The man fails at another miss.

Tanya: No, you can’t. It can’t have happened already. Charlie? Ram? Matteusz? I need your help. Where is the hybrid? What is happening?

Tanya hurries towards the door and rushes out of it. The man moves towards the baby and shoots it. He walks into the corridor and then disappears.

Already?

The man finds himself back in the Governor's room.

Man: The deed has been done. Do I receive my reward now?

Chairman: Not all has been finalised yet, I’m afraid. I need you to bring the students, Charlie Smith, Ram Singh, Tanya Adeola and Matteusz Andrzejewski to me.

Man: Really? What on earth do you want them here for?

Chairman: I’ve got something in store for them. They could potentially pose a threat to us. They may only be young adults, but they have defeated creatures before, and they could at least put a stop to part of our plots. We can’t risk that.

Man: Well of course I shall collect them. We need this plan to go ahead.

Chairman: Nothing can stand in our way. If it does, you know that our benefactors will not be happy and will not hesitate to take our lives away from us.

Governor: And what about April McLean? You are aware of the recent developments?

Chairman: Of course, but what has happened there is certainly remarkable. I’d like you to keep her alive for the time being, unless she causes you or any of the other students I have told you to collect any harm.

Man: Why do you care if any harm comes to the students?

Chairman: Because I need them alive so that my plan can fall into place.

Man: Whatever you say, sir. I will do whatever is possible to keep them alive.

The Governor returns to Coal Hill Academy. He bursts into the sports hall with a gun.

Man: Everybody do what I say. Don’t move.

Tanya: You were the man who killed Quill’s baby.

Man: I’m one of the Governors, and I need you to come with me.

Ram: We’ve got enough on our plate at the moment. At least come at a more convenient time. (Looks at gun) But there is a loaded barrel pointed towards my face so maybe not.

Charlie: What do you want with us?

Man: I want you to come with me. I may have a solution to all of your problems.

Tanya: I dunno, we’ve got quite a few of those, and they’re quite big ones. If you kill Charlie and the hybrid then that’s all of our problems solved.

Man: We don’t want anyone killed. We want to offer you a solution.

Charlie: I may never have met the Governors but I know what your kind is like. You always have something planned, and I know that you are playing tricks with us.

Man: There is no trickery. Please follow me to the Governors room.

Tanya: What are the Governors anyway? Are they aliens?

Charlie: Of course they’re aliens. Could somebody help me off the floor please?

Tanya: Well I’m not going to help you off the floor am I?

The Governor picks Charlie up off the floor. He leads the group through a portal.

Chairman: Ah what a pleasant surprise. It’s so nice to finally meet you all.

Matteusz: I assume that you are the leader of the Governors?

Chairman: Indeed I am, Matteusz. You may all be wondering what reason I have brought you all here for today. As my fellow Governor might have told you, I could have the solution to all of your problems. We have the power to bring Quill back.

Tanya: That might just make all of our problems worse.

Charlie: No, I’m listening, but I’ve got questions. Why have you kept the hybrid alive?

Chairman: Because we’re intrigued. We’ve taken the hybrid here to investigate how all of this is possible. The shadow kin should all be destroyed.

Corakinus: I wish to be no part of this. Do I have the option of leaving?

Chairman: A human trapped inside a shadow kin. We never thought we’d see anything like that. We’re intrigued. We are of no harm to you, hybrid.

Corakinus: Well I will be of harm to you.

Corakinus summons a knife but a Governor turns it in on him and holds it at his throat.

Chairman: If you dare to do one more thing like that, my friend will not hesitate to kill you. Some of our Governors are rather trained in killing, you know.

Charlie: Which makes me think it might not be right to trust you.

Chairman: Your friends have betrayed you. I think you believe we’re the only ones you can trust. They are not your allies anymore, Prince of Rhodia. We are.

Ram: How do you know everything about us?

Chairman: We’ve done our research of course. We had to in order to bring you here today.

Charlie: I’d actually like to hear more about his proposition relating to Quill.

Chairman: Of course, Charlie. We have a substance known as the resurrection oil which was dug up many centuries ago by archaeologists. It has the power to bring anyone you wish back to life, hence the name. But-

Matteusz: I knew there was going to be a but. There’s always a but.

Chairman: In order to bring back someone from the dead, someone who they love will have to sacrifice their life. Quill is the greatest chance you stand at defeating whatever comes through the rift in Cole Hill Academy so make your decision. Are you going to bring Quill back? Which one of you will take the leap? Make your decision.
