Previously: Matteusz convinced Ram to not kill himself as they faced off against a deadly group of drug dealers. They returned to Coal Hill Academy where they were reunited with Tanya. Meanwhile, Rani and Clyde were arrested as they were suspected of blowing up Coal Hill Academy. The Detective leading the interrogation recognised the two of them from their adventures at Bannerman Road and decided to release them after realising they would not commit a crime unless they had to. They returned to Bannerman Road, where they were reunited with Maria and Luke. They decided to return to Coal Hill Academy, where they would question Tanya about her involvement with alien activity. Charlie found a group of fellow patients who had been experimented on in the hospital of angels, and they promised him a way to escape. He found himself back at Coal Hill Academy, where Ram, Tanya and Matteusz watched as he was drugged and carried away by the other patients. A weeping angel materialised behind them, transporting Ram away.
Inside of the hospital of angels, Charlie wakes up.
Charlie: What? Where am I? I don’t remember anything. I don’t remember who I am.
Dr Bradshaw: It’s okay. That’s only natural for a patient who has just arrived at the hospital. Welcome to the hospital of Angels. You are our most recent patient.
Charlie: How come I can’t even remember my own name? My own identity?
Dr Bradshaw: The information should all flood back to you in due course. Well, within reason. There will be a few things you won’t remember. You won’t remember the past few years of your life on Earth. You are a human, aren’t you?
Charlie: I don’t know. I don’t even remember what humans are.
Dr Bradshaw: You look like humans. Well, quite a lot of races do. It’s nice to have you as a patient. Hopefully we’ll get to know each other very well. I haven’t introduced myself, have I? I’m Dr Bradshaw. I don’t know why I even bother talking because you only have a very basic comprehension of words at this point in time.
Charlie: How did I end up in this place? I don’t remember being in this place?
Dr Bradshaw: You’ve been in this place for a very long time now, Charlie, but you wouldn’t remember anything about it. I think it’s best we introduce you to some fellow humans. Life on Earth may have died out a long time ago but that doesn’t mean we don’t have lots of human faces on board this hospital craft. Dr Kent, bring in one of the other patients.
Dr Kent brings in Ram
Dr Kent: He doesn’t remember much but I’m guessing that your other guest doesn’t either.
Dr Bradshaw: No, but they’ve only just woken up. Does this one know his name?
Ram: My name is Ram Signh, but that’s the only thing that I remember.
Dr Kent: Don’t worry, Ram. It’ll all come back to you in a short amount of time.
Matteusz and Tanya step away from the Angel.
Tanya: What the hell do we do? Where’s Ram? What happened to Charlie?
Matteusz: I don’t know the answer to any of the questions, or the multiple other significant questions that are floating around in my brain that I need a solution to right now.
A weeping angel appears from behind them. They step away. Lots of Angels materialise around them. They corner Tanya and Matteusz. The Angels soon become correlated in a circle, and they all stop moving.
Tanya: What happened? The Angels have stopped moving?
Matteusz: They’re looking at each other. It seems to make them...Stop.
Tanya: We need to get away from this place. There’s probably more Statues.
Matteusz: Oh yes there certainly are, but we need to stay and fight them. If the statues are still here then that means that the Governors most likely are too.
Tanya: But how did Coal Hill explode? Oh, I’ve got so many questions.
Matteusz: I think the most important thing we need to do is find Charlie and Ram.
Tanya: But we also need to find and stop the Governors? They can’t be in Coal Hill Academy anymore, so they must be around the local area. They want to start a war, and we can’t let them do that. We need to protect the planet.
Matteusz: But it’s not possible to stop the Governors without Charlie and Ram.
Tanya: I think you underestimate us, Matteusz. We just need to sniff out the Governors and bring them down. They may be more powerful than us, but we found a way to make these statue things stop, so we can find a way to make the Governors stop.
Matteusz: Wait a minute. The statue touched Ram and he just vanished. The same thing happened back in the Governor's room when one of the statues touched Charlie…
Tanya: Which means that if Charlie is alive, then Ram will have been sent to the same place as Charlie and if we get one of the Angels to touch us, then we can be sent there too.
Matteusz: We may regret that, because we don’t know where exactly they’ve been sent to, and we have no idea whether the Angels have sent them both to the same place, but we’ve got to give a go. We need to get Charlie and Ram back.
Tanya: We need to find and trap an Angel and get it to take us to Charlie and Ram.
Matteusz: There must be shit tons of Weeping Angels lurking around the area so all we need to do is track them down and-
Clyde punches Matteusz.
Clyde: I’m sorry to do that but I just needed to get your attention somehow. You wanted to get rid of us earlier, and we want to know exactly what your involvement with-
Tanya kicks Clyde knocking him to the ground. Rani hits Tanya but Tanya throws Rani against some shrubs. Clyde gets up but Tanya pushes him back down.
Tanya: If you dare lay a finger on Matteusz, then I will not hesitate to kill you.
Clyde: We just needed to get your attention in someway.
Tanya: Get my attention in some way that doesn’t involve punching my fucking friend.
Tanya kicks Clyde, but Rani pulls her to the floor, gets up and wacks her.
Rani: And you better think twice about hurting my friend.
Clyde: We just want to have some civil words about what happened.
Tanya: I don’t think hitting my friend is particularly civil. I told you before that I don’t want anything to do with you, or your friend, so please get out of here.
Matteusz: I think it’s only right that we hear what they have to say.
Tanya: But he punched you in the face, Matteusz. He shouldn’t get away with that.
Matteusz: They obviously want our attention quite desperately so I want to hear what they have to say. I still won’t forgive him for punching me even if he tells me I’ve won the Lottery.
Clyde: Well the sad news is that you haven’t won the Lottery. But you’ve won a different kind of Lottery: Meeting the legend that is Clyde Langer.
Rani: I don’t know whether you heard about us on the news, but we are the alien hunters of Bannerman Road-Rani Chandra and Clyde Langer, and we believe you have some kind of involvement with aliens as well. We want to ask you about that.
Tanya: You have had battles with aliens and monsters as well?
Rani: Countless times. We used to keep our encounters with aliens secret, but five years ago, what we did was exposed to the public. I can’t believe you’ve never heard of us. Anyway, we’re here to ask you what you know about aliens.
Matteusz: We’re having quite a struggle with them at the moment, actually.
Clyde: You said the other day that something snapped your neck and then brought you back to life. Tell us what’s been happening. Tell us about your alien encounters.
Tanya: It’s a long story. And I’m sorry for getting the two of you arrested, as I’m sure you’re sorry for punching Matteusz, but we have had encounters with aliens. There are these humanoid figures known as the Governors who control everything in Coal Hill Academy. And now we need to find them. I think we could use your help.
Dr Bradshaw enters a room where Daniel, Nigel and Georgia are sat.
Dr Bradshaw: I think this could prove to be an interesting experiment. Capturing one of Charlie’s friends and making him interact with Charlie while the two of them have no idea who the other is, and in Charlie’s case at the moment, who he is himself, was a genius idea. I’d like to thank the three of you for executing it marvellously.
Daniel: It’s just the perfect way to ensure that the product is faultless.
Dr Bradshaw: And it seems like the drug is faultless. Charlie and Ram have no idea about anything. We’ve got exactly the result that we wanted to have.
Nigel: So what do we do now? Do we just sit back and await the results?
Dr Bradshaw: I think it’s wise that we do for the time being. It’ll just be fun to see how long it takes Charlie to remember his own name, let alone Ram.
Daniel: I don’t think it’s possible for him to ever remember Ram.
Dr Bradshaw: If he never remembers Ram then that proves exactly how brilliant this product is. We have a masterpiece on our hands. Let’s make the most of it.
Georgia: Remind me again why we didn’t take all three of Charlie’s friends?
Dr Bradshaw: Because we’re taken them gradually, otherwise there could be some significant faults in the experiment. Let us sit back and watch what is happening.
Ram and Charlie look at each other in silence for a moment.
Ram: The Doctor said that we have been asleep for nearly 13 billion years. That’s fucking amazing, isn’t it? 13 billion fucking years. It’s just so difficult to believe.
Charlie: Is it weird that I have no idea who I am but I recognise you?
Ram: How could you recognise me? We’ve never met before.
Charlie: Maybe you just have one of those recognisable faces. I mean, some small parts of information are starting to flood back to me now. I remember my name. My name is Charlie! Yes of course, it’s Charlie! Charlie Smith! I remember now. I was the prince of Rhodia, and then I immigrated to Earth. I have a rather interesting life story, don’t I?
Ram: I can only remember a few things. I remember that on the last day of Earth, my father died, and my girlfriend died, but now the planet has gone. Burnt to cinders along with the rest of the universe, apparently, it’s very difficult to believe.
Charlie: I remember there was this woman who was sworn to protect me called Andrea Quill. I think it was Andrea. I can remember her name but I can’t picture her face. How funny! I remember my home, and I remember my school. Did you go to my school?
Ram: I think I’d remember if I went to your school. Although the Doctors did say that we wouldn’t remember everything about our lives straight away. Apparently there are lots of side effects about this hospital. But apparently we get to be immortal. Fucking immortal! I’m so glad I can remember swear words. Wait a minute, I’m beginning to remember more things. I remember my school. It was called Coal Hill Academy.
Charlie: There were these people called the Governors who were plotting to invade the planet and destroy it. There was this thing called a weeping angel. Wait a minute-I remember this hospital. I’ve been to this hospital before. There were four people called Tommy, Daniel, Georgia and Nathan...No, Nigel, yes Nigel! They sent me back to Earth and I was finally home but then the last thing I remember was a needle poking through my skin. Funny how I can remember how painful the needle was inside of my skin.
Ram: I had an encounter with these people called the Governors too. They were the Governors of my school but they were troublemakers. And there were stone statues. And there were my friends-Tanya, Matteusz, April-Oh no, April. Something horrific happened to April. Something that even you, the person who is whiterring one about some of the strangest things imaginable would not be able to fully comprehend. Comprehend? Back on Earth I never said words that long. The longest word I said was motherfucker. Ha! Maybe I’ve changed. Hopefully I’ve changed. I was the biggest cunt imaginable back home. And there was another person. Oh I don’t remember him now but I know there was another.
Charlie: I had some very close friends, and I can picture them but I don’t remember their names. They were such nice people, and such tough people, and such strong people, and such noble, kind, capable, amazing, attractive people.
Ram: I think his name was Charlie. His name was Charlie, like you, his name was Charlie. Charlie Smith, also like you, I guess that was a common-Oh. Wait a minute. That’s where you must recognise me from. You’re Charlie. Oh my god.
Charlie: Ram? It’s Ram? How did I not recognise you? Oh my god Ram!
Ram and Charlie hug each other. Dr Bradshaw enters and knocks them both out.
Dr Kent: That was a close one. They figured out exactly who the other person was. It was a worthwhile experiment but there are obviously some major flaws which we need to sort out. Team, I need you all to get on and make some major adjustments please.
Dr Bradshaw: At least we now have the data required to move forward past the experimentation process. We know that we need to make some changes to ensure that the next time we do this, Ram and Charlie do not recognise each other.
Dr Kent: Call in the others. We need to figure out exactly what we’re doing wrong.
Tanya, Matteusz, Rani and Clyde are wandering around the area.
Tanya: There are these statues called the Weeping Angels which were the things I told you killed me earlier tonight before I was brought back to life. These angels have motivation to kill us, and we assume they are being controlled by the Governors somehow. Now these weeping angel things transported our friends Ram and Charlie somewhere, so if we find an angel and force it to touch us, we can get to where Ram and Charlie are, save them, and then from there we can begin to destroy the Governors and thwart their invasion.
Matteusz: Don’t you think it’s a bit stupid if we all go? I mean, they could be in a dangerous place that we will never return from.
Tanya: Charlie found a way out of there, but he also got dragged back in. We know what we’re doing by now, and we all need to stick together. We’re all in danger.
Rani: We’re not in danger, are we? I mean, the Governors haven’t met us.
Tanya: No, but they probably know about you. You are alien hunters like me and Matteusz, and therefore the Governors will know about you, track you down and kill you, just like they’re planning to do to us, and what we’re planning to do to them.
Clyde: These people, Charlie and Ram, you sound like they’re a vital part to destroying the Governors. Is there something special about them? Are they aliens?
Tanya: Well, Charlie is, and Ram is often a great help. We need them, and we need to all stick together. If one of us goes down, all of us will be going down.
Clyde: We had some alien members of our gang. One of them was adopted by Sarah Jane, the leader of our group, but then she turned out to be the adopted daughter of the evil being known as the Trickster. It wasn’t the greatest day when we found out about that.
Rani: I don’t think any of that is important right now, Clyde. The whole world is in danger, and we need to rescue the two people who we can’t save it without.
Tanya: There should be weeping angels scattered all around the premises, so look out for creepy looking statues and make sure it touches you, but also make sure it does not snap your neck. It seems like when they snap your neck, you die and then you get brought back to life, which trust me, isn’t the best of experiences.
Rani: If it tries to snap our necks, is there any way to stop it?
Matteusz: For some reason, it can’t seem to move while something else is looking at it. If you keep looking at it and don’t blink, I think it should stay still.
Rani: Right so, don’t blink and don’t let it kill me. Great advice. Let’s go.
A Weeping Angel appears from behind Matteusz and touches him.
Tanya: Alright then, be careful. Matteusz is probably wherever Ram and Charlie are right now, so we need to try and get there too. Make sure it touches you.
The Weeping Angel touches them all. They wake up on the floor of the hospital.
Clyde: Err, this isn’t a very hygienic floor. Where the hell are we?
Matteusz: Well we’ve all ended up in the same place, so that’s a plus side.
Tanya: Be warned-These Weeping Angel things want us dead, so whatever is on the other side of that door could be fatal and probably wants to kill us in a painful way.
Clyde: We’ll be careful, don’t worry. Who’s going to open the door?
Dr Bradshaw (Opens door): I will, don’t worry. Ah, we’ve got some new patients. Welcome to the Hospital of Angels, but I’m afraid once you’ve received the treatment you will have no recollection of what I am telling you, so I might as well not speak.
Tanya: You’re keeping our friends here somewhere. Ram and Charlie.
Dr Bradshaw: We’ve done things to them, and they wouldn’t remember you if they saw you. And soon, once we have experimented on you, you won’t remember them. Ah, you are so naive. We brought one of you here, and we knew you’d all follow like cattle.
Tanya: Who are you? What are you going on about?
Dr Bradshaw: I thought you’d realise straight away. You’re not as clever as we assumed. We’re the Governors. The other Governors. And we’ve found an easy way to get rid of you.
Dr Bradshaw grabs a needle but Tanya pushes it into Bradshaw’s skin. Kent enters with a gun which knocks Tanya out. Matteusz dodges the blast directed at him and kicks Kent to the floor but Daniel enters and knocks Clyde and Rani out. Kent grabs Matteusz, chucks him against the wall and injects him with the needle.
Daniel: I can’t believe they thought they had any chance of stopping us.
Dr Bradshaw: Charlie and Ram worked as very good experimentation subjects, but now we can begin with what the Governors have always planned for. The Governors at Coal Hill may be gone, but we can alert the other Governors scattered across the world that everything has been put into place, and the invasion of the planet Earth can commence.
Ram wakes up on a bed next to Charlie. Nigel and Georgia enter.
Nigel: Ah, the new people have woken up. At last we can get to know them.
Georgia: It gets lonely in this place, you see. There’s only a few of us scattered across the hospital, so it’s always good when we get a few new additions.
Ram: Where the fuck am I? Who the fuck are you?
Nigel: Hey! That sort of language is not tolerated here. This is a peaceful place. The Doctors won’t hesitate ejecting you into space if you continue using that language.
Charlie: I’d like to know what is going on. My head hurts so much.
Georgia: I know, it’s always the same. Whenever someone new wakes up, they have a headache, and can’t remember their own name. After a few hours it all floods back and then we are able to drip feed you information about what is going on.
Charlie: Are we in some kind of hospital?
Georgia: Why, you are in the hospital of angels, of course. You have been granted the power of immortality. The rest of the universe is dead, though, which is devastating, but we are the sole survivors. I’m Georgia, this is Nigel, and we were the only two humans on board apart from the Doctors, so it’s nice to have some new company.
Nigel: There’s Daniel too, but he doesn’t like spending much time with us. He’s quite a loner you see, so he only likes to hang out with himself most of the time.
Charlie: I remember that I come from Earth. I don’t remember my name but I know I come from Earth. I was in 2016. Are we not in 2016?
Nigel: Of course you’re from Earth! We’re all from Earth here! But no, it’s not Earth and it’s not 2016. Couldn’t be much further from it. You’ve been asleep for 26 billion years, and we’ve been awake for 13 billion, so it’s been a lonely few billion years. You get used to it after a while, and I’m pleased I’ve been blessed with immortality.
Ram: What if you don’t want to live forever? Can you have that option?
Georgia: They can eject you into space, but that would only be for severe cases. One of the Doctors went a bit mad here once and was ejected into space.
Charlie: Where are the Doctors? I’d really like to speak to one of them.
Nigel: There’s Doctor Kent and there’s Dr Bradshaw, but they’re busy making sure everything around the hospital is perfect and our care is handled well. We get three meals a day, every day, and lots of luxuries. They treat us incredibly well here! It gets better as it goes along, and you begin to earn the Doctors trust. We were all a bit shell shocked when we arrived here, as I’m sure you are, but you get used to it.
Charlie: I can’t believe it. We’re outside of the universe. That’s unbelievable.
Georgia: I think unbelievable is an understatement. This place is amazing though. We’ll show you around and everything, and you never know, you might be the rare person that Daniel likes. Usually the people who he likes end up getting ejected into space, so you better hope he doesn’t like you. You can tell what his type is.
Nigel: But anyway, I guess we’d best leave you. Either Dr Bradshaw or Dr Kent will be here soon, but we’ll leave the two of you to chat and get to know each other. We know this can be hard to take in. We’ve been in exactly the same position as you have. But we’re looking forward to spending the rest of eternity with the two of you.
Charlie: It’s nice to meet you. Thankyou.
Georgia and Nigel leave. Dr Bradshaw and Daniel carry Dr Kent out.
Georgia: What are you doing? Why are you carrying Dr Kent out?
Daniel: Something’s gone wrong. We’ve got the rest of the Coal Hill kids and some of the alien hunters from Bannerman Road, but one of them rebelled and stabbed Dr Kent. We can’t risk losing another one. Not at a crucial point like this.
Nigel: Are you saying that it’s finally time to move forward with the invasion?
Daniel: Of course it is. We’ll leave the Coal Hill students alive until the invasion has been completed, and then we will kill them. The experimentation process has been faultless and the plans have gone incredibly. Now we just need to get everyone into their places and order the weeping angels to get to the places in which they need to be.
Georgia: What about Coal Hill Academy? That was where we were planning on launching the invasion, but now it has been destroyed, where will we start it?
Dr Bradshaw: We will start from the ruins of Coal Hill Academy. Now I must dispose of Dr Kent before she offers us trouble. Prepare the Weeping Angels.
Daniel: I will follow you over there, Dr Bradshaw. (Whispers to Nigel and Georgia) Now that the experimentation process is complete, there is no need for Dr Bradshaw. I will dispose of her alongside Dr Kent. This is our battle now.
Daniel follows Dr Bradshaw, who has now killed Dr Kent
Daniel: You need a helping hand clearing up all of that shit and blood?
Dr Bradshaw: I’ve dealt with enough shit and blood in my time, it’s fine. You can go and sort out the invasion force. We are ready to begin and we cannot waste any more time.
Daniel: The Governors needed you for a reason, which was to experiment on the Coal Hill children so we could torture them, destroy them and prevent them from interfering in our plans. Now they have been disposed of, there is no need for you.
Dr Bradshaw: Oh no, I’m not letting you dispose of me.
Daniel: You see, we have been in control all this time. The reason we got you to experiment with the drug was to ensure that you didn’t know anything. Me, Georgia and Nigel are the true leaders of the Governors, and we have been leading you, and all of the other members of the Governors scattered across the planet Earth, without you even realising it. We have drugged you to forget that we were even part of the Governors sometimes just to make sure our plots would be successful. It’s time for you to die now.
Dr Bradshaw: I’m not letting you get away with this, Daniel. I’m not letting you kill me.
Dr Bradshaw throws Daniel against the wall and hits him against it various times, before grabbing a needle and slicing his throat before disposing of his body. She grabs a gun and walks towards Georgia and Nigel.
Dr Bradshaw: Daniel told me what you are doing here. I know you have been tricking me and all of the other Governors all this time. Well I’m not standing for it anymore. I’m going to stop you. I’m going to get things back in control.
Nigel: Drop the weapons please. Whatever Daniel told you was a lie.
Dr Bradshaw: He planned to kill me, but do you know what, I killed him, so look where that ended up. I know what you’re doing, and I don’t intend to keep you alive.
Georgia: We’ve got to deal with the other four humans. Look, drop the weapon and we can talk. You can be a part of this. You have been a huge part in getting us to where we are today, so we must thank you for that, and you deserve to play a huge role in the invasion when it begins, which is today. So drop your weapon please.
Dr Bradshaw drops the weapon. An explosion kills Dr Bradshaw and wounds Georgia and Nigel. Alarm bells sound around the whole hospital.
Ram: Oh my god what the fuck is going on now? I just want some rest.
Charlie: Well, apparently we’ve had 26 billion years of rest, but I’m still tired. I don’t believe it at all. I think they’re feeding us lies. I don’t know why but-Do I recognise you from somewhere? Or is it just that you have one of those recognisable faces?
Ram: Come on, Charlie, I thought you were smarter than that. I remember what they’re doing here. I don’t believe that you don’t either.
Charlie: It’s Ram? Oh my god, Ram! Yes! I’m so sorry I didn’t remember.
Ram: They’ve been knocking us out, wiping our minds, experimenting on us to see how well their drugs and techniques work, but they must not work too well if we remember each other. We must try and get out of this place somehow.
Charlie: There’s a way out. A few times ago, these people who I thought were fellow patients who turned out to be evil took me through some sort of portal back to Earth. We need to get out of this room and through the portal back to Coal Hill Academy.
Ram: We need to see Tanya and Matteusz again. Oh, I hope they aren’t in danger.
Charlie: Those alarm bells don’t sound good. Something must be up inside of the hospital. Let’s get out of this place, find the portal and stop the Governors.
Ram and Charlie exit the room and follow through corridors, until they reach one room which has Matteusz and Tanya inside of it. They walk inside, pleased. Georgia grabs Charlie and holds him at the tip of a knife. Tanya and Matteusz wake up.
Georgia: I know the explosion was something to do with you. It wouldn’t be Dr Bradshaw, she isn’t smart enough. So explain to me what you have done.
Charlie: We haven’t done anything. We just want a way out of here.
Georgia: There is no way for you to get out of here. Haven’t you realised that by now? This whole place is a trap, engineered to prevent you from thwarting our plan to invade the planet. We know you stand a chance against us, as you have done against other villains, so we needed to get rid of you. Nothing can stand in our way.
Ram: The Governors? Oh, you are cleverer than I thought.
Tanya: Could somebody please explain what the fuck is going on here?
Georgia: I can’t be bothered to lie to you. You’re an alien hunter from London in 2016, who we have brought here to stop you from preventing our invasion of the planet from being a success. This isn’t a spacecraft but instead is a hideaway on Earth which we have engineered the Weeping Angels to send those who prove a threat to us to.
Tanya: How come I don’t remember anything?
Matteusz: I don’t remember anything either.
Georgia: There’s no point, because in a minute you’ll forget it all again anyway-
There’s a gunshot. Georgia falls to the ground. Mrs Quill stands in the doorway.
Mrs Quill: No they won’t. And neither will you as you’ll be fucking dead.
Charlie: Quill? You’re alive?
Mrs Quill: I always find a way to be. Now then, let’s finish what we started. Let’s beat some Governor ass.
