The Students at Park Vale Comprehensive School gather for an assembly.

Haresh: Good morning, children.

Children: Good morning, Mr Chandra.

Haresh: Thankyou. I’m calling this assembly today to reveal to you a new member of staff who is joining our school. Mr Edgely is joining our Modern Foreign Languages team, and will be joining us from Deffry Vale as a new vice principal.

Mr Edgely: Good afternoon, young humanoids.

Clyde: Oh my god-

Mr Edgely: Excuse me, what was that.

Haresh: Sorry, he does that sometimes. Can I have your attention please?

The bell rings. Clyde, Rani and Sky exit the assembly hall.

Clyde: It’s weird. We encounter aliens pretty much every day of our lives and still the teachers at this school feel less human than them.

Rani: There’s definitely something fishy about that Mr Edgely bloke.

Mr Edgely: It’s Clyde Langer and Rani Chandra, isn’t it? I’ve heard all about the stuff you do at 13 Bannerman Road. Sorry, you probably get asked about it all the time.

Rani: Oh we do, but we really don’t mind.

Mr Edgely: Would you two mind coming into my office to talk about it?

Clyde: Oh no, we’re a bit busy doing-Err, doing-nothing.

Rani: Yeah sure we’ll talk you through all of it.

Inside of Mr Edgely’s office

Mr Edgely: I’m sorry to drag you into this office to talk about this but I couldn’t do it in public. Those children would be too freaked out about it all.

Mr Edgely transforms into a Bane. Clyde and Rani run and slam the door to his office.

Rani: Oh my god he’s one of them! He’s a Bane!

Clyde: I told you he was an alien! Run!

Clyde and Rani run out of the school. Haresh shouts at them from his office. Mr Edgely runs after them. They run down the road and duck behind some bins.

Mr Edgely: Come out, wherever you are. I want things from you.

Mr Edgely pulls them away from the bins.

Mr Edgely: We need your help. We need Sarah Jane Smith.

Inside of the attic

Mr Smith: May that be truly said of us, and all of us! And so, as Tiny Tim observed, God Bless Us, Every One!

Sarah Jane: Thank you Mr Smith. That was wonderful.

Sky: I never knew that Mr Smith could do that.

Mr Smith: I can read all texts and play all sources of media from around the world. I can play a film if you would like.

Sky: Oh yes let’s watch a film!

There is a knock at the door. Sarah answers it. It is Clyde, Rani and Mr Edgely.

Mr Edgely: I’m one of Clyde and Rani’s teachers, and I was wondering whether I could have a little look around.

Sarah Jane: I’m sorry, this place isn’t a museum.

Mr Edgely: Oh, it wasn’t optional.

Clyde: I’d do as he says. He’s a-

Mr Edgely transforms into a Bane

Clyde: Bane-

Sarah Jane: Oh I thought I’d seen the last of you when I got rid of Mrs Wormwood. What are you back here for? What do you want?

Bane: We do not wish to harm you. We require your assistance.

Sarah Jane: I’m sorry, Bane, but I’m not helping you. You don’t deserve my help.

Bane: I have already made it clear to your friends that if you do not help me then I will destroy all of you. I don’t want to do that.

Clyde: Could you please turn back into Mr Edgely? You’re making me feel sick.

He transforms back into Mr Edgely.

Clyde: Come to think of it, you’re less slimy as a Bane.

Inside of the Attic

Sarah Jane: I don’t know how I can help you.

Mr Edgely: The last time our paths crossed, you murdered our Leader.

Sarah Jane: I had to. She was threatening my son. I had no other choice.

Mr Edgely: I am aware that at the time, the Bane were also wishing her to be eradicated, but now we need her back. A vicious alien assassin is hunting us down, killing every Bane it comes into contact with. Even when we are in human form, it knows we are Bane. We need Mrs Wormwood back to destroy it, before it destroys us.

Sarah Jane: I think that you’re tricking me. I know that if I bring Mrs Wormwood back, it will be more trouble than it’s worth.

Mr Edgely: I don’t think you could live with yourself if you let a whole species die, Sarah Jane Smith. I think you need to help us.

Sarah Jane: Very well. Mr Smith, I need you.

Mr Smith: Hello again, Sarah Jane. I couldn’t help but overhear your conversation.

Sarah Jane: I know, and I’m probably as torn about it as you are. The Bane have come to me for help and I don’t know whether to help them. They want me to help them bring their leader, Mrs Wormwood, back to life.

Mr Smith: I’m sure you’re aware that resurrection is impossible.

Sarah Jane: Nothing that I want to come true is impossible. I’ll make sure it comes true.

Mr Smith: Well there may be a way. It may not work. At 32 Bannerman Road lives an old woman, who claims that she can resurrect someone.

Mr Edgely: Anything that could potentially secure the lives of our species is worth a try.

Sarah Jane: Okay. Sky, you come with me. Clyde, Rani, you stay here with Mr Smith.

Rani: What a cheek!

Clyde: We always seem to be left out of these things.

Mr Smith: I can read you A Christmas Carol if you would like.

Sarah knocks on 32 Bannerman Road. An old woman answers.

Shirley: Oh hello there. You’re Sarah Jane Smith, aren’t you? I can’t believe you live down the road from me. Aliens? I can’t believe it! What do you want?

Sarah Jane: I’ve heard that you can bring people back from the dead.

Shirley: Oh of course you want the resurrection oil. That’s all that anybody wants from me nowadays. Come on in.

Mr Edgely: The leader of my race died. We need to bring her back.

Shirley: You’re an alien? I’ve always wanted to meet one of you.

Sarah Jane: So this resurrection oil. How did you even find it in the first place?

Shirley: My late husband Victor used to work in the coal mines. He used to dig, all day, every day. He must have gotten so bored down there! One day while he was digging, he fell down a hole. It was a large drop, he would have died. But he didn’t. He survived. The hole was filled up with the resurrection oil. So we went down there and grabbed a supply of it and I am the only one who can do it. It doesn’t always work, and sometimes when I bring people back it only brings them back for a short period of time, but it’s always worth a try.

Mr Edgely: We need to do this now. Our race is in danger.

Shirley: Of course. To bring them back we require a sacrifice. That sacrifice will need to think of the one they wish to return, and they shall.

Mr Edgely: I must sacrifice myself? Whatever the cost, is not too much.

Shirley: Get inside of the oil bath and think about the one you wish to return.

Mr Edgely gets inside the bath. He screams as he dissolves away. From the oil, a figure emerges. Mrs Wormwood slowly returns.

Mrs Wormwood: What? What am I doing here? Where am I?

Shirley: It worked. You’re alive. You have returned.

Sarah Jane: It’s a long story, and I’ll explain everything on the way to my house.

Mrs Wormwood: You took everything from me, and I have no intention of going anywhere with you. The words Sarah Jane Smith send a shiver down my spine.

Sarah Jane: The Bane are in danger. They are being hunted down.

Mrs Wormwood: I will not help the Bane. I betrayed them and they wanted me dead. As far as I’m aware they still want me dead. This is probably just a trap so they can bring me back and have the pleasure of executing me themselves.

Sarah Jane: You’re back, Mrs Wormwood, and you need to help us.

Mrs Wormwood: Happily, Sarah Jane.

Sarah’s car arrives at Bannerman Road

Mrs Wormwood: And here we are, back again. I thought I could finally be rid of this place. You never introduced me to the new girl.

Sarah Jane: Oh this is my daughter, Sky.

Sky: Lovely to meet you.

Mrs Wormwood: Another adoptive child that you have stolen? Where is Luke now?

Sarah Jane: He’s at university, living a very happy life. I couldn’t be more proud of him.

Mrs Wormwood: I want him back. If you want me to help the Bane, then you will have to give me something in return. I want to see Luke.

Sarah Jane: Luke has moved on with his life. The Bane need your help. I know you love him and I know you want to see him but there are much more important matters at hand.

Mrs Wormwood: There’s nothing more important than having the opportunity to see my son. I want to see him now. In fact, I will see him.

Mrs Wormwood leaps inside Sarah’s car and drives off. Sarah hurries inside.

Sarah Jane: Mr Smith, create a containment vortex around Bannerman Road. We cannot let Mrs Wormwood leave. She will put Luke in danger if she goes to see him.

Clyde: Wait-Mrs Wormwood’s back. That’s not good news.

Sky: You didn’t tell her what university he was at.

Sarah Jane: I can’t take the risk. Mr Smith, create a containment vortex.

Mr Smith: I can’t. I have done it before, but from where I have been damaged, I struggle to create that amount of power. I’m sorry, Sarah Jane.

Sarah Jane: But she could put Luke in danger.

Rani: We need to find a way of getting to the University. But how?

Mrs Wormwood drives in Sarah Jane’s car. At Oxford University

Sanjay: Are you alright, Luke? What’s wrong?

Luke: Nothing, I’ve just got a funny feeling. You know, where you know something is wrong.

Sanjay: Nothing can go wrong. And if it does, I’ll be here to protect you.

Luke: I never told you, Sanjay, but back when I lived at Bannerman Road things went wrong every day.

Sanjay: You were at Bannerman Road? You hunted aliens?

Luke: What? How did you know about that?

Sanjay: It was all on the news. Oh wait, I should have got that. Sarah Jane Smith. Of course! She’s your mum, isn’t she?

Luke: Yes she is. And it was dangerous, and exciting, and thrilling, and brilliant all at the same time. I sort of miss it, but at the same time I sort of like being safe.

Sanjay: If you like being safe, that means you are safe now, and that means nothing will happen to you today. There’s no need to worry about that funny feeling. We all get moments like that where we think something will go wrong.

Luke: Yeah, you’re probably right. It’s just me being stupid.

Mrs Wormwood steps out of Sarah’s car. At the entrance is a receptionist.

Mrs Wormwood: Good afternoon, I’m here to see my son.

Receptionist: Sorry, but it’s the middle of the day. We don’t allow visitors here.

Mrs Wormwood: I don’t think I made myself clear enough. I’m here to see my son, whether you like it or not.

Mrs Wormwood twists the weapon on her finger, knocking the receptionist out. She bursts through the doors. She knocks out people along the way. One student presses a fire alarm. Sanjay and Luke head towards the exits.

Luke: Do you think it’s real?

Sanjay: I don’t know. They run drills all the time.

They exit the room. Mrs Wormwood is standing outside the door.

Mrs Wormwood: Hello, Luke. It’s nice to see you again.

At Bannerman Road, Sarah grabs her vortex manipulator

Rani: I thought that thing could only travel short distances.

Sarah Jane: It can travel a reasonable length. It’s about time we did something rather than stand around. This is cheap time travel, so there’s a chance I might not arrive where I want to be.

Clyde: Oh great. I’d rather you arrive back here in one piece.

Sarah Jane: If I don’t return here in 3 hours, then something is wrong.

Sky: What are we supposed to do if you don’t return here in 3 hours?

Sarah Jane: I’ve wasted enough time. I need to save Luke.

She transports away

Clyde: Oh great. It seems like she’s given up caring about us.

There is a knock at the door. It is Haresh.

Clyde: Good morning, Mr Chandra. How are you on this fine day?

Haresh: You should be at school. Mr Edgely chased after you. I mean, you’re all meant to be at school. Don’t tell me he’s an-

Clyde: Yeah, he’s an alien. He’s sort of...Not alive anymore.

Haresh: What? Why isn’t he alive anymore?

Clyde: Well it’s sort of a long story, I’ll explain later.

Haresh: No explain to me now, please. I have all the time in the world. I mean, we should all be at the school right now but I had to come out to see what you were up to.

Clyde: Aliens. Mr Edgely was an alien called the Bane in disguise, and he wanted Sarah Jane to help them bring their leader back from the dead. So we went down the road and resurrected her and now their leader has gone after Sarah Jane’s son, Luke, who’s really the genetically modified son of the leader of the Bane, Mrs Wormwood, at the university campus.

Haresh: That’s a lot of information to take in 30 seconds.

Clyde spots a Bane approaching from not far behind

Clyde: I think it’s best you get inside, Mr Chandra.

Haresh: I’m the one who tells you what to do. Now we need to be getting back to the school. If I have to drag you by the wrists then I will.

Clyde points behind Haresh. Haresh looks behind.

Haresh: Okay, maybe I should get inside.

Haresh hurries inside as Clyde slams the door on the Bane. They hurry up the stairs and into the attic. The Bane bursts into the house. In the attic.

Rani: Dad? What are you doing here?

Haresh: There’s aliens outside trying to get in. That seems to happen every time I go near this house.

Clyde: It’s the Bane. They’ve followed us here.

Sky: Why? We’ve given them what they want.

Clyde: It seems like they want more. They haven’t got proof that Mrs Wormwood’s back, so now they’ve come here to hunt us down.

The Bane bursts through the attic. Mr Smith opens up a laser and kills it. Another two burst in. Clyde halts Mr Smith.

Clyde: Please could you listen to us? Mrs Wormwood is alive.

Bane: We need to see her. She is our protector.

Rani: And you will see her! We told her that you need her protection but she demanded that she see her son first.

Bane: Where is she? Tell us her current location.

Sky: A place called Oxford University, where Luke currently goes.

Bane: You shall supply us a source of transportation.

Haresh: Can I leave? I don’t feel comfortable with this situation and we all really need to be getting back to the school.

Bane: None of you shall leave. You shall supply us with a source of transportation.

Sky: Mr Smith, is there any way you could transport these Bane to Oxford University?

Mr Smith: Transporting matter over large distances is not one of my capabilities. There is another vortex manipulator over on the cabinet.

Sky: Okay. Mr Smith, contain these creatures using a vortex.

The Bane are trapped inside of a Containment Vortex

Rani: We seem to use containment vortexes quite a lot nowadays, and it always backfires.

Sky: Make sure that the Vortex is stable. We must ensure that these Bane do not get to Sarah Jane and Luke.

Bane: We shall get to Mrs Wormwood. We need protection. And be aware that the one who tries to hunt us will come here. He knows where we are.

Clyde: Oh it’s a he now? Tell us his name.

Bane: He does not need a name. His presence is the only thing necessary for him.

Sarah transports into Oxford Campus. She notices an unconscious receptionist at the entrance. She walks up a stairwell, where she hears Mrs Wormwood talking.

Luke: I don’t want anything to do with you. You are not my mother, Sarah Jane is. Now go away.

Mrs Wormwood: I am the one who created you. If it were not for me you would not be here today. I want to be a bigger part of your life.

Luke: Just let Sanjay leave. Please.

Mrs Wormwood: Who is Sanjay? Is he a friend of yours?

Luke: Kind of, yes. Just let him go. He doesn’t need to be involved in this.

Mrs Wormwood: It seems you mean a lot to my son, Sanjay, so I will let you go.

Sanjay walks out and spots Sarah on the stairway.

Sanjay: Oh my god, it’s you from the-

Sarah Jane: Please be quiet she might hear you. She’s let you go so please go because you might not ever get the chance again.

Sanjay: What are you going to do now?

Sarah Jane: I’m going to stop her. My son is is danger, and anybody who is willing to place my son in danger doesn’t deserve my respect.

Mrs Wormwood: But I don’t wish to harm your son, Mrs Smith. He means a great deal to me and I want to prove to him that I can mean a great deal to him. I can offer him so much.

Sarah Jane: Isn’t it clear from the last time that he wants nothing to do with you? He’s got a life now, he’s got a home. He’s moved on. I know how important Luke is to you, and I understand what you are trying to do, I really do, but he’s not your son. He’s a man now. He’s grown up. He doesn’t want you. I’m sorry.

Mrs Wormwood: I wanted to see my son, and I will see my son.

Sarah looks out of the window. Police officers approach.

Sarah Jane: There are police officers outside. It’s because you caused a scene.

Mrs Wormwood: Oh I will deal with them. They do not cross a Bane.

Sarah Jane: No, don’t do anything else. You’ve already caused enough trouble as it is.

Mrs Wormwood: Oh I’m not going to let you stop me again, Mrs Smith.

Mrs Wormwood knocks Sarah Jane out. Mrs Wormwood grabs Luke and hurries out with him. They reach an exit surrounded by police.

Luke: Let me go. Please, let me go.

Mrs Wormwood: I know you’ll run away, Luke, and I can’t let that happen.

Luke: I don’t want to be involved with you. I’m not your son.

Mrs Wormwood: Yes you are, Luke, whether you like it or not.

Police Officer: This area is surrounded by Police. Any wrong moves and we will take action. Please identify yourselves.

Mrs Wormwood: If you make any wrong moves, then this boy will die.

Mrs Wormwood holds Luke at the tip of her weapon.

Police Officer: Place the boy down. Nobody needs to die today. Just place the boy down and we can take you away. You have commited a crime, and we just need to take you down to the station. You will make it all worse if you do something else.

Mrs Wormwood: I don’t want to hurt him. He is my son after all.

Banes come from behind the police officers and attack them.

Mrs Wormwood: Thankyou, Bane, but I have no intent of helping you. You tried to have me killed, and I cannot deal with that.

Bane: We require your assistance. The assassin is coming.

Mrs Wormwood: I’ve heard about this assassin. What is his name?

Bane: Androvax. His name is Androvax.

Luke: Androvax? No, it can’t be? Not again. Oh no.

There is a shot taken at Mrs Wormwood. A hooded figure approaches.

Androvax: I heard the mention of my name. I am only doing this because I have to. The only individuals I care about are being placed at risk, and now, I have to destroy you, Bane, in order to save them. You are the Leader, Mrs Wormwood, are you not?

Mrs Wormwood: I am. I’m sure we can make a bargain.

Androvax: No bargains are necessary, Mrs Wormwood. I’m afraid the only path you can take now is that of death.

Mrs Wormwood: You cannot destroy us. You are not capable of that.

Androvax: I am capable of more things than you imagine.

Androvax shoots two of the Bane. Androvax is splattered with a white cream.

Mrs Wormwood: I bet that made you look rather stupid.

Androvax: Petty assassination isn’t usually what I do for fun, so I want to make it quick.

Mrs Wormwood hurries inside and slams the door. Androvax places his hand on Luke’s head causing him to sleep. Androvax enters the building. He carries Luke with him.

Androvax: Come out, Mrs Wormwood. I have your son.

Mrs Wormwood is on the staircase. Androvax destroys her weapon using a gun.

Androvax: There’s no way you could possibly kill me. You can try, but you shall always fail. If you want your son to survive, then surrender yourself.

Mrs Wormwood: Why don’t you just kill me?

Androvax: Because it is much more fun this way. Now come down from the staircase.

Mrs Wormwood: No, kill him. I’ve only just returned to life, so I want to live.

Androvax: You are aware that I will kill you anyway?

Mrs Wormwood: I’d rather have the opportunity to save myself for as long as possible. Maybe I can find a way to stop you.

Sarah Jane comes down another staircase, holding her sonic lipstick.

Sarah Jane: Leave my son out of this.

Androvax: Sarah Jane Smith. How nice it is that we have the opportunity to meet again.

Sarah Jane: If you dare hurt my son, you will not live to regret it.

Androvax: I’ll let Mrs Wormwood surrender herself. I’ve done this just to present to you exactly what Mrs Wormwood is really like.

Sarah Jane: I don’t need any evidence. I already know.

Mrs Wormwood: Alright, I will surrender myself, but you have to surrender yourself.

Androvax: What do you mean? I will not surrender myself to you.

In the Attic

Mr Smith: This is not a false alarm. There is a bomb in the local area that has the capability of wiping out the whole country.

Rani: What? Where is it?

Mr Smith: I believe that it is outside of the house. You must go.

Sky: What are we supposed to do?

At Oxford University, Mrs Wormwood shows Androvax a countdown.

Mrs Wormwood: I knew this would happen, so if the Bane have to die, then I am taking the entire country with me. In 3 minutes England will be burnt to cinders.

Androvax: You are bluffing.

Mrs Wormwood: One of our Bane detonated a bomb. We can use telepathy to know. I am not bluffing. You can stand around and find out if you wish.

Androvax teleports away.

Mrs Wormwood: He wants me alive for some reason. For now though I shall let you watch as the eclipse of England arrives.

Sarah Jane: You can’t do this. You can’t-

Mrs Wormwood: Oh I can, Mrs Smith. And I will.

Mrs Wormwood knocks Sarah Jane out. She grabs Luke and teleports away. Elsewhere, Rani, Clyde, Sky and Haresh hurry out of the attic and spot the bomb on the floor.

Sky: You’ve got to deactivate it! Deactivate it!

Clyde: I can’t. I don’t know how to deactivate it.

Rani: Please do it. This can’t be the end. Is this the end?

Clyde: I think it is.

Resurrection of the Bane Part 2

Sarah Jane wakes up. Her phone is ringing. It’s Clyde

Sarah Jane: Clyde? Is the bomb in Bannerman Road?

Clyde: Yeah, and there’s only 95 seconds left until it implodes, and that’s rapidly counting down. We’ve got to deactivate it somehow.

Sarah Jane: Try everything you can. We’ve only got a minute to save England.

Clyde runs into the attic. Rani follows after him.

Rani: What are you doing? There’s no time to do any of this right now.

Clyde: I’ve got a theory. What if that thing outside isn’t a bomb and really the bomb has been placed inside something else. Sarah Jane-I’ll hang up. Call me back straight away.

The phone rings again. The Bane in the containment vortex blows up.

Clyde: Yuck. Why do I always have to be the one covered in that.

Rani: Does it matter? We’ve saved the whole of England.

Sarah Jane: Congratulations, Clyde. I’ll try and get back to you as soon as I possibly can. We’ve got a bit of trouble. Mrs Wormwood has ran away with Luke.

Rani: Well keep us in touch and make sure that Luke is safe.

Haresh: Is the Country safe now? Can we finally go back to the school?

Sky: I don’t think we should go back to school. It’s no time for that. Millions of lives nearly ended and nobody knew about it apart from us.

Clyde: I think that means a day off, don’t you, sir?

Mrs Wormwood hurries up a staircase holding Luke. Androvax transports in front of her.

Androvax: I hear that the bomb has been deactivated? That means it’s finally time for you to die at my hands.

Mrs Wormwood: Something tells me that you want me alive.

Androvax: What gives you that idea? I made a bargain with the Shadow proclamation.

Sarah Jane: I thought you were doing this for someone else. This isn’t your style. Now, Mrs Wormwood, give me back my son.

Mrs Wormwood: If I die here again, then I want Luke to be by my side.

Luke (Wakes up): I don’t want to be by your side. You are not my mother.

Androvax: It’s saddening really that your own son does not accept you. Maybe my sympathy towards your situation is what is keeping you alive.

Sarah Jane: Tell us then, Androvax, why did the Shadow Proclamation sign a deal with you? What has happened? The last time we met the Men in Black sent you off on a happy ending along with your race. What happened now?

Androvax: Our spaceship crash landed on the planet Terror Alpha. We were forced to survive. There was nobody around, no life, no energy, no matter, nothing. We soon discovered there was native life, but it was hostile. One of the surviving 100 members of the Veil were killed, and they were killed one by one. We sent out a distress signal, and the Judoon heard it. They took the 80 other surviving members of my race captive, and informed me that if I did not go to Earth and kill the Bane, who were enemies of the Shadow Proclamation, then they would kill my race. I’m doing this because I have to.

Sarah Jane: Nobody needs to die. We’ll call the Judoon here.

Androvax: You have encountered the Judoon before, Mrs Smith, and you know they are not a force to be reckoned with. If we make one wrong move then they shall slaughter everything I love. Everything that stops me from continuing as the destroyer of worlds.

Sarah Jane: I’ve got a habit of sorting things like this out. Call the Judoon down here. I’m sure I can find a way to complete this which does not result in violence.

Androvax: Very well. I shall send out a message to the Shadow Proclamation. But if anything happens then it is your fault.

At Bannerman Road, Gita is across the street.

Haresh: Hello, love. Aren’t you meant to be at work?

Gita: I’ve taken the day off. Not many people want my flowers anymore. What are you doing here? Aren’t you meant to be at the school?

Haresh: Yes, but matters with Sarah Jane and the Gang interfered.

Gita: Oh no, what happened this time?

Haresh: I haven’t really followed what’s been happening. It’s all a bit ridiculous.

Gita: It’s always a bit ridiculous, and that’s why they have so much fun. I sort of feel guilty that we are robbing Rani of the opportunity to stay here.

Haresh: We have to leave Bannerman Road. It may be fun but it’s dangerous. I want to protect my daughter. I want to protect all of us. We will leave and that’s that.

Gita: We need to put the house up on the market.

Clyde: What do you mean you need to put your house up on the market?

Inside of the Chandra’s house

Rani: Look, Dad doesn’t feel like it’s sensible that we stay around here, so we’re going to be selling the house and moving.

Clyde: Were you ever thinking of telling me this?

Rani: Of course, I just never found the right time.

Clyde: Well you better tell Sarah Jane. I don’t know how she will take it. She pretended to take Maria leaving well but she didn’t really.

Rani: Sarah Jane already knows. So does Sky.

Clyde: Why didn’t you tell me this? I’m the last person to know?

Rani: Well, I haven’t told Mr Smith yet-

Haresh: I’m so sorry, but we have no other choice. Everyday we live here our lives are at threat, and I don’t want to lose my daughter. I never want to think about that happening. We’ll be putting the house on the market, and we’ll be leaving as soon as possible.

Clyde: But, how are we going to do this all without you? You’re the best one! Sorry, Sparky.

Sky: I can’t help but feel a little bit offended.

Rani: I don’t want all of this to end. Really, it’s been the most amazing experience. But now the world knows about all of us, we can tell them. I’m surprised we haven’t had more people come to the house to ask for help or to see us. But I’ll always remember everything we’ve been through. From that first day we met with Oddbob the clown, to when we met the Doctor for the first time on the day of Sarah Jane’s wedding-

Clyde: That was an absolute disaster.

Gita: I still couldn’t tell you what happened on that day.

Rani: What I mean is that it was amazing. And I’ve been honoured to have the opportunity to spend dozens and dozens of adventures with such wonderful friends. You truly are the best people in the world, and I will struggle to move on without you guys, because these have truly been the best days of our lives.

Clyde: How long do you think you will be staying here for?

Haresh: Well, we’ll be going as soon as we possibly can. It won’t be too long. It’s nearly time for all of this to come to an end.

Clyde: I don’t know how I can do this without you, Rani. I know I’m coming off like a sap, but I really don’t. You are my best friend. Maybe this is the time I need to stop all of this. End it all. I’ve been wanting to continue all of this for the whole of my life but it has to come to an end at some point, and maybe this is the time that it ends.

A Spaceship arrives outside Oxford University. The Receptionist wakes up and the Judoon burst through. The Judoon knocks her out again. They burst through the doors of the building until they reach Sanjay.

Judoon: You will be catalogued.

Sanjay: Oh my god you’re rhinos! You’re big talking ugly rhinos! Please don’t hurt me! Oh what is happening today?

They scan Sanjay.

Judoon: Human, English. You shall not be harmed.

They burst through the doors and see Androvax in front of them.

Judoon: I am Captain Tybe of the Shadow Proclamation. We were summoned here by you, Androvax. Announce what you want from us.

Androvax: I want you to let my race go. You have been holding them in your grasp for a long time, and I want to see them once again. I have become much more peaceful in recent times. I no longer wish to cooperate with your agreement.

Judoon: Then the Veil on board our spacecraft shall be eradicated.

Sarah Jane: Oh no they won’t. Run!

Sarah and Androvax hurry out of the room. Luke is held back by Mrs Wormwood.

Judoon: The Judoon inside of the spacecraft shall deal with them. Androvax shall now be assimilated. We wish for you to cooperate with our latest deal. Track down Sarah Jane Smith and Androvax and bring them here and we shall spare the life of you and your race.

Mrs Wormwood: I’d like to cooperate with this deal.

Sarah and Androvax hurry towards the spacecraft

Sarah Jane: Mrs Wormwood still has my son.

Mrs Wormwood: We shall go back for her. For now we must rescue my kind from extinction.

They enter the spacecraft. Judoon surround them.

Judoon: Bo! Sko! Mo! Fo!

Sarah Jane: I’ll deal with them. Androvax here would like to rescue his race. You are holding them captive here.

Judoon: Captain Tybe should have assimilated you.

Androvax: No, I’m here to rescue my own kind. You have been holding them here and I have made it clear to Captain Tybe that I shall not destroy the Bane. I have changed.

Judoon: But we made a deal.

Androvax: Yes. Just a different deal than Sarah Jane is aware of. I’m sorry, Mrs Smith. Actually, I am not sorry, because when we have got rid of you, we shall work towards something that shall bring glory to the races of the Judoon, the Bane and the Veil!

Sarah Jane: What do you mean? What have you done now?

Androvax: Did you really think I would help you. All of this was created just so we could get you here. We needed the plan to go ahead. All of this has been put in place for a reason. I thought you would be smarter than this. Did you really think that I would help you, Sarah Jane? This is purely the beginning of my mission.

Androvax leaps inside Sarah Jane’s body.

Sarah Jane: Now then. The plan shall begin!

Her lizard tongue leaps out of her mouth. At Bannerman Road

Rani: So you’re telling me that you aren’t going to continue with all of this? You’re going to end your adventures across the road when I go?

Sky: You can’t. That’ll make it just me and Sarah Jane.

Clyde: It’s gone viral, so I’m sure more people will want to join up. You’ve just got to know who to trust, that’s all. This is just the end of an era. I’ve been doing this for a while, and my GCSE’s are coming up, so I need to end this.

Sarah Jane transports into the room

Sarah Jane: Oh, that wasn’t exactly where I intended to end up. Hello, everyone.

Clyde: Sarah Jane? Is Luke okay? Where’s Mrs Wormwood? What’s going on?

Sarah Jane: Luke is perfectly fine. I’ve left him at the university but he said that he will be back to say hello to everyone at some point in the near future. Would you like to go across the Road back to my house?

Clyde: Yes, I’ve got something I need to tell you as well.

Gita: We’ll stay with you. We’ll let you Alien busters have your fun!

In the Attic

Sarah Jane: I’m proud of you, Clyde, for working out a way to stop the countdown and deactivate the bomb. That was very clever of you. Look at it, my attic. I’ve just never appreciated it as much as I should have done.

Rani: What do you mean? I thought you had appreciated it. I thought that was why we did all of this. Why we stopped aliens and all that.

Sarah Jane: Oh of course, but I never realised just how much we could do with this. We could use it for forces of good, or even for forces of evil.

Sky: We’re only going to be using it for forces of good though. I mean, that’s what we do. We’re heroes, not threats.

Sarah Jane: You may not be, but I am now.

Sarah touches Sky and Clyde on the forehead. She approaches Rani.

Sarah Jane: It’s been such a long time. Activate Mr Smith for me.

Rani: Androvax? I thought we were really rid of you. How come it’s always Sarah Jane’s body that you seem to latch on to?

Sarah Jane: Her body is warm and comfortable. I like it a lot. I need you to activate Mr Smith, otherwise we shall kill your friend Luke.

Rani: You are holding Luke captive? What about Mrs Wormwood?

Sarah Jane: She is working with us and the Judoon. We have wanted it for so long. This will be our new home. We shall take over 13 Bannerman Road and use it for forces of evil. The Judoon shall grant us a home here, and use the technology for whatever forces we require. We don’t want Sarah Jane dead. We only want you all dead if you intend to stop us.

Rani: Our greatest foes teaming up against us. I never would have thought it possible.

Sarah Jane: You shall stop stalling and activate Mr Smith at once.

Rani: Mr Smith, I need you. Create a Containment vortex.

Mr Smith creates a containment vortex

Rani: This is a common method of trapping our enemies at the moment, but it’s an effective one, and that’s why we keep on using it.

Sarah Jane: Do you really believe your puny prison can stop me? We have thought this through. There is no way you can defeat us this time.

The Judoon arrive and aim their guns at Rani. She holds her hands up in surrender.

Sarah Jane: Now then, release the containment vortex and we shall spare your life.

Rani: I guess I have no other choice. Mr Smith, release the containment vortex.

Sarah Jane steps out of the vortex and knocks Rani out.

Sarah Jane: That was simple, wasn’t it? Now we can begin.

Mrs Wormwood and the Bane transport into the area

Mrs Wormwood: Have you seized control yet, Androvax?

Sarah Jane: Yes of course I have. This is a new era. Our races can live in harmony to run this place, and from here we can run the planet Earth. The Bane, the Veil and the Judoon all working together to create a new harmony for our races.

Mrs Wormwood: What should we do with Sarah Jane and her friends?

Sarah Jane: Mr Smith, transport Luke Smith from Oxford University to here.

Luke arrives. Mrs Wormwood grabs hold of him.

Luke: Let go of me! Please let go of me!

Mrs Wormwood: It’s okay, Luke, just stay still. We need you to be calm.

Luke: Let my friends go. Let Sarah Jane’s body go.

Sarah Jane: That way she will stand a chance of stopping us.

Luke: Well go on then. Go ahead with what you are planning, but I promise you that we will find a way to stop you.

Sarah Jane: But how? You are our prisoners. You cannot do anything. Mr Smith, only operate at my commands. Luke is not to be trusted.

Luke: Please, Mr Smith. Help us stop them.

Mr Smith: You are not to be trusted. You are a danger to Bannerman Road.

Mr Smith creates a containment vortex around Luke.

Luke: Let me out! Let me out! Please let me out!

Sarah Jane: You see Mr Smith has a great range of capabilities. He has control over every other single computer on the planet, you just never tapped into his abilities as much as you should have done. Mr Smith, put our faces on every screen on the planet.

Flashes to a pub where people are watching a football match. It switches to the attic.

Sarah Jane: Hello everyone. I’d just like to inform you about what has been happening. You may be aware of all that is going on in Bannerman Road, and it seems you are all too scared to see what it contains. But please, I invite you today to come and visit our wonderous home. Whoever you are, wherever you are, please come to 13 Bannerman Road. We shall welcome you in with open arms, and maybe, just maybe, you might be able to see some alien life. It’s the oppurtunity of a lifetime.

Gita and Haresh watch the television.

Gita: Look Haresh it’s Sarah! Our neighbours on the television!

Haresh: That woman seems to pull out new surprises every single day.

The TV screens across the world switch back to what they were previously playing.

Mrs Wormwood: And within time, the people of planet Earth shall gather here today to witness the beginning of the bold new era for 13 Bannerman Road. They’ll witness the sort of thing that we’ll be doing from this point onwards.

Luke: You won’t be successful in this!

Sarah Jane: But we’ve already been successful, Luke. You’re too late to stop us now.

People arrive at 13 Bannerman Road. Sarah Jane exits.

Sarah Jane: Welcome, everyone, to Bannerman Road. I promised that you would see some aliens, and I will not back away from a promise.

A Bane bursts through the window. The people scream.

Sarah Jane: It’s okay. Do not worry. They will not harm you.

Judoon burst through the door. They hold their guns out.

Sarah Jane: This is what we have in store for Bannerman Road. This is what we are planning in the future. Races of aliens working side by side to form new harmony. This may be the end of the human race as we know it, but its the beginning of a new alliance.

Gita: What do you mean the end of the human race as we know it?

Sarah Jane: I’m so sorry, all of you, but this is the end.

Upstairs, Luke grabs his whistle, summoning K-9. K-9 zaps the attacking Bane.

Sarah Jane: Restrain the dog! Ensure that the dog is restrained.

Mrs Wormwood moves over to Luke

Mrs Wormwood: You just called a whistle. What did you do?

Luke: I’ve just called a friend here. The best friend a man could wish for.

Mrs Wormwood: I promise you, Luke, however much I love you, I will not let you meddle in all of this. We have worked so hard to building this up and creating this alliance, and we cannot risk it being blown away at the click of a finger.

Luke: I’m sorry, but that’s what we do. You’re putting the world in danger, and it’s our job to save it. You never really understood that did you? You tried so hard to get me back after Sarah Jane adopted me, but you were never successful, and do you know why? It’s because you never understood what good was. What good meant. And to get me back, to make me care, you’re going to have to change. You’re going to have to learn to be good.

Mrs Wormwood: What good would it do? You have all of these resources and they go to waste. Why don’t you use them like we do.

Luke: Because we use them to help people, to save people, to stop those who put people in danger. To right the wrongs. To make the rights. We are the heroes of this world, and I think we use all this better than you ever could.

Mrs Wormwood: I’m sure you’ll be proven wrong within time.

Luke: Who is leading this alliance?

Mrs Wormwood: Androvax. I believe you have encountered him before.

Luke: Of course, because all of your plans revolve around revenge. All of you have some reason to get your revenge. Although what never made sense was that the Judoon are working with you. Why would the Judoon want to work with you to destroy this world when their number one priority is to protect?

Mrs Wormwood: They’ve realised who the true danger is-You.

K-9 continues to zap the Bane. It moves towards Androvax.

Sarah Jane: You recognise me, don’t you? I’m Sarah Jane.

K-9: Yes, mistress. I have helped you defeat these creatures.

Sarah Jane: Thankyou, it’s ever so kind of you to help out. The real threat is inside. The Bane have taken Luke’s form and they’re using him to commit acts of evil. He must be destroyed, but he is too powerful for me to stop.

K-9: Affirmative, mistress. I shall eradicate the threat.

K-9 hovers up the stairs and into the attic. He stops at the door.

Luke: Just let me out of here, Mrs Wormwood. Please let me out of here.

Mrs Wormwood: You are trying to stop what we have been trying so hard to do all this time. I’m afraid I cannot allow that. You are my prisoner.

Luke: Please, don’t do this. Please let me go.

Mrs Wormwood: I will do as you say. Mr Smith, release the containment vortex.

Mr Smith releases the containment vortex

Mrs Wormwood: Transport Luke to somewhere far away. Somewhere Sarah Jane can never find him. I’m so sorry, Luke but I have to.

Luke is transported away. K-9 enters and zaps Mrs Wormwood’s knee.

Mrs Wormwood: Please, I’m trying to help you and Sarah Jane.

Sarah Jane: It’s okay, K-9, she’s helping us this time.

K-9: There seems to be the depletion of human life signals from outside.

Sarah Jane: The Bane are still slaughtering people but there’s nothing that I can do to stop them. You must try and help the best you can, K-9. We must go.

Rani, Clyde and Sky wake up. Clyde grabs Sarah Jane’s ankle.

Clyde: Where do you think you’re going? I’m not letting you hurt anymore people.

Rani: My mum and dad might be out there. Oh god they might be in danger.

Sarah Jane: Let me go. If you do not I will not hesitate to take your life.

Two Judoon officers enter the attic

Sarah Jane: Kill them. Kill Rani Chandra. Kill Clyde Langer. Kill Sky Smith.

Judoon: No, we have got you all exactly where we wanted you.

One Judoon grabs Mrs Wormwood and the other throws Sarah Jane to the floor, releasing her from Androvax.

Mrs Wormwood: What are you doing? Let go of us.

Judoon: You think Judoon would help you? We have only done this so we could finally capture you. Lives were lost but it was worth it.

Androvax: You cannot do this! You have no right to do this.

The Judoon teleport away with their prisoners. Luke teleports back into the attic. Sarah runs up to the gang and they all have a group hug. Rani rushes outside to check her mum is okay. She hugs Gita.

Gita: It was those things again. The Rhino things.

Rani: Oh mum thank goodness you’re okay. I was so scared.

Gita: You gave me a panic myself. Those Rhino things rounded up those other monsters.

Sarah Jane: It looks like Bannerman Road is safe for another day.

Clyde: I don’t really get what just happened. Can you explain?

Sarah Jane: The Judoon must have made the whole alliance thing up. Androvax and Mrs Wormwood are surprisingly hard to catch, so they created this whole lie, this whole plot, everything we’ve been through today so they can round up their prisoners.

Rani: Sounds like it’s more trouble than it’s actually work.

Sarah Jane: That just seems to be the Judoon way of doing it.

A tank rolls up followed by two army cars. Captain Mike Yates exits.

Sarah Jane: Captain Mike Yates, how great it is to see you again.

Mike: Hello again, Mrs Smith. It certainly is an honour.

Sarah Jane: What brings you here to Bannerman Road?

Mike: We heard about everything that had happened here and we thought you might need some reinforcements.

Sarah Jane: I think we’ve got the best reinforcements imaginable right here.

Charlotte: Don’t you think it’s time we got back? This was a false alarm, and there are UNIT officers from all across the globe, from all different ranks and all of different ages. I think it’d be wise if we began to head back to deal with other matters.

Mike: Oh yes, this is one of my fellow UNIT officers, Charlotte Wilkinson.

Charlotte: Very nice to meet you, Mrs Smith. I’ve heard a lot of good things about you.

Sarah Jane: Oh yes, it’s rude of me not to introduce my friends. This is my trusted team-Rani Chandra, Clyde Langer, Sky Smith and Luke Smith.

Gita: And I’m Gita Chandra-Mother of a local hero.

Mike: It’s an honour to meet you all. Charlotte is rushing me on but it’s been nice to see you again, Mrs Smith. It’s been a while.

Sarah Jane: Too long.

Mike: I’m sorry I couldn’t be at the funeral. I wish I could. You know how much Alistair meant to me, to all of us, and I still can’t believe he’s gone.

Sarah Jane: Neither can I. It’s just hard to get my head around.

Mike: I miss him, I really do. He was like a father to me, and there’s not a day that goes by that I don’t miss him. It comes to us all though.

Sarah Jane: Indeed it does. The later, the better.

Mike: Oh yes of course. Until we meet again, Sarah Jane Smith, and good luck.

Mike and Charlotte drive off in the UNIT car. Sarah and the gang wave.

Sarah Jane: So Luke, are you going back to the university?

Luke: I don’t know what to do. The university is in ruins, and I’ve got nowhere to live for a little while. So, I was going to suggest that-

Sarah Jane: Of course. We wouldn’t like anything more.

Luke: Then that’s that. I’m back. I’m going to rejoin the team.

Clyde: Welcome back, buddy.

Rani: It’s really not been the same without you.

Sky: I am so looking forward to it.

Sarah Jane: Well then, Luke, we better get a move on. The universe awaits!

Next Week: A group of archaeologists discover a cage which has been located below 13 Bannerman Road for many years. Within this cage, sits a human being, who has an unknown connection to Sarah Jane’s old friend, Shanda. But he also has a connection to something much more powerful. He’s about to reawaken the Semini.
