Torchwood: The 100-5 Years Later

Docks in Cardiff, 2016. All is quiet. Nothing is happening. Suddenly, there is an explosion. A masked figure dives out of the explosion.

Cardiff Police station

Jae: So then, what’s been going on in the life of Sebastian Myers?

Sebastian: Nothing much. Just the usual, y’know. I wish it was different.

Jae: The thing is, I don’t know what the usual is with you, Sebastian. You always keep everything from me. I thought we were meant to be friends.

Sebastian: Of course we’re friends, it’s just there’s lots of things about my life that you don’t want to know about, trust me.

Jae: Like what? I’ve heard a lot of things from my time working here. Please share.

Sebastian: I know you have, but you still won’t believe what I have to tell you.

Jae: Try me. You’ve got me intrigued now.

Gwen (Enters): We need to go down to the docks. There’s been an explosion.

Sebastian: An explosion? What kind of explosion?

Gwen: You know, the usual. The blowing up and shattering of materials. Just like usual.

Sebastian: Okay, okay. Who’s responsible?

Gwen: Why didn’t you ask that in the first place, Seb? What kind of explosion is a terrible question. Points for creativity though. To answer your new and better question, we don’t know. But we need to find out before he or she does anything else stupid.

A police car carrying Sebastian, Jae and Gwen arrives at the docks

Sebastian: It doesn’t look like the person who started it is here.

Jae: Why would they be? If you were blowing up something, would you really want to just stay in the same area where you can be caught by the police? God you are stupid, Seb. I don’t know why you ever employed him, Gwen.

Gwen: I’m sorry, I looked at his CV. It looked promising. I do regret it now.

Sebastian: Oh, thank you very much.

Gwen: Enough of the banter now. I know you two are addicted to it but we’ve got to focus on the matter at hand. We need to find out who is responsible for this.

Jae: I think somebody is trying to catch our attention.

Gwen: But who? And why?

Jae: Isn’t it your job to try and find out?

Gwen: It’s all of our jobs to try and find out, Jae, and we’re going to, I promise you. The culprit couldn’t have gotten far away. He must be close.

Sebastian: Oh so you’re assuming that it’s a he now?

Gwen: I’m sorry, I mean they must be close. See if you can track them down.

Jae and Sebastian get in the car. Another car rolls up at the docks. A man gets out.

Jack: Hello again, Gwen. Could I be of some assistance?

Theme tune

Gwen: Jack? What are you doing here? I didn’t think you did this sort of thing anymore.

Jack: Of course I do. I never stop. Now then, there’s been an explosion, and I thought you might need my assistance to figure out who or what is responsible.

Gwen: You think that a what could be responsible for this?

Jack: It’s a possibility. It wouldn’t be a first for aliens to run amok in Cardiff.

Gwen: So then, what brings you back to Cardiff after such a long time? I thought you were in America now. I didn’t think you’d ever come back here.

Jack: This place has been such a huge part of my life for so long. Torchwood has been such a huge part for so long. I couldn’t leave this place. I couldn’t leave what I wanted to do.

Gwen: So Torchwood is back then? Even after what happened?

Jack: This city needs Torchwood. It always has done and it always will do. That’s why I’ve brought it back to where it belongs-Here in Cardiff.

Gwen: Are you doing this alone now then?

Jack: I’ve had too. I haven’t found any good enough staff. Well, no-one as good as the original team. Are you sure you aren’t up to rejoining?

Gwen: Oh, so you came here to recruit me?

Jack: No, I came here to see what was going on down in these docks but now I guess I am here to recruit you. So how about it, Gwen Cooper?

Gwen: No. No way. I wouldn’t ever dream of coming back to Torchwood. Not after all that we’ve been through. I’m back with the Police now. I’ve got my own team. Me, Andy, Jae and Sebastian are the ones protecting the town now.

Jack: It’s not as good as the thrill of tracking down aliens though, is it?

Gwen: Of course not, Jack, but I just want to be normal again. I just want to move past all of the shit that Torchwood brought with it. All of the baggage. I just want to be myself again.

Jack: Did you ever get over what happened? With Rhys?

Gwen: Of course I didn’t. How could you get over that?

Jack: You have to. We always have to. It’s just what we do. It’s just what the human race needs to do in order to survive.

Gwen: It’s been five years, but I’ll never get over that day.

Jack: Do you want to talk about it?

Gwen: No. I haven’t talked about it to anyone since.

Jack: Well maybe it would help to talk about it.

Gwen: I don’t want to talk about it, okay. Any word from Rex?

Jack: No. No there hasn’t been.

Gwen: I think it’s about time that you found him.

Jack: I’ve spent most of the last five years trying to find him, Gwen, and I failed miserably. I don’t know where he is. He could be anywhere. But now that he’s got the abilities that he has, I think he’s just struggling to cope.

Gwen: We’ll find him one day. I’m sure we will.

Jack: I wouldn’t get your hopes up about that, Gwen.

Gwen: Anyway, enough of this. We’ve got to get clearing all of this up. Figuring out who is responsible. Jae and Sebastian have gone out on the road to try and find him and I think we should do the same, but take a slightly different route.

Jack: I’m sure he’ll return here at some point.

Gwen: I think it would be nice to get on the road. That’ll give us an excuse to talk a bit more about the five years since we saw each other last.

Jack: Do you really want to go down memory road?

Gwen: Not particularly, but I think we have to. Let’s go in the car. Now, Jack.

Jack: Aren’t I meant to be the boss?

Gwen: You were my boss when we were in Torchwood together but as you’re now the only member, the only person you are a boss to is yourself.

Jack: All right then. I’m not sure I like that.

Gwen: Then get some good staff. Ones that are as good as us.

Jack: That’s not possible Gwen. Nobody is as good as us.

Jae and Sebastian travel down the road in their police car.

Jae: So then, where abouts do you think that the culprit is?

Sebastian: Somewhere we’ll never suspect. I’m sure Gwen is doing some investigations as we speak to figure out the identity of the culprit.

Jae: Sadly, sometimes it isn’t always that easy.

Sebastian: It’s always easy for Gwen. She’s a pro.

Jae: Slightly less so than she believes. She’s getting very egotistical of late.

Sebastian: Oh yes. Very. She’s always been slightly cocky but never as bad as this. She’s becoming quite a pain to work with nowadays.

Dave wakes up in his bed to the sound of his alarm clock. He taps it, gets changed, goes downstairs and turns on his computer. He opens it up onto Skype. He begins a call.

Rhonda: Hello, is that Dave Newbry? It’s Rhonda Trent here from Cardiff News. Are you ready to go live in about 30 seconds?

Dave: Of course I am. Couldn’t be more prepared.

Rhonda: I can tell that’s a lie. You look like a mess.

Dave: Oh, thanks. I thought you seemed nice on the telly.

Rhonda: I’m guessing you’ve got everything that you wanted to say prepared for.

Dave: Of course I have. And I’m ready to spit back at the man on the other line.

Rhonda: Actually it’s a woman. I wouldn’t be so presumptuous.

Dave: You know what, you are the rudest person I have ever met.

Rhonda: And you know what, I don’t fucking care.

Cameraman: We’re about to go live in 3, 2, 1…

Rhonda: Hello I’m Rhonda Trent and welcome to the Cardiff News Central channel. It is 20th November 2016. Our breaking stories today: The White House condemns 'heinous' Russian, Syrian bombings of Aleppo hospitals, President elect Donald Trump has met with cabinet contendors and a derailed train in India kills more than 115 civillians. The first thing we will be discussing today is Brexit, one of the most controversial events in the history of Great Britain, which we thought we’d update you with. On Line 1 is Professor Dave Newbry, who is against Brexit, and on Line 2 is Brexit Supporter Larry Bent. Now then, Dave, why is it that you are against England leaving the European Union?

Dave: I think it’s obvious, isn’t it, and I think that every single person on the planet should be against it. It’s a truly worthless decision. Prove me wrong, Larry.

Rhonda: Okay then, Larry, can you prove him wrong?

Larry: Yes, indeed I can. This is a stage where we can be independent and we can be free-

Dave: But we’re not being independent and free, are we? We’re really just placing ourselves, particularly the younger generations of this planet who will have to clear up from the mess that we have put ourselves in, in a great depression.

Larry: If you could let me finish my scentence without interrupting…

Dave: This is a debate, Larry. I think I’m aloud to interrupt.

Rhonda: Could you please stop bickering?

Dave: Oh my god. What has happened to this world? It’s just turned to shit.

Rhonda: Now, now, it’s not past watershed yet.

Dave: I don’t care if it’s past fucking watershed or not. I’m telling you that anyone, particularly this stupid man sitting on the other line, who thinks that brexit is a good idea is wrong. Totally fucking wrong. And I’ve told you that you could prove me wrong, but you’re not going to, because what I am stating is fact. Pure and obvious fucking fact.

Rhonda: Okay, could you please just mind your language.

Dave: No, I’m not going to mind my language. Who cares? What are we protecting the children from the truth that this world holds? The swearing and the drugs and the sex and the crime? No. We shouldn’t have to. And if you’re deciding that we should turn their future into worthless shit because of brexit, something they won’t even have a fucking say in because they’re too fucking young, then they shouldn’t be shielded from the truth. They should learn. They should be faced with it, like they will be in a few years time as a result of your actions. As a result of all those people who supported and voted for Brexit because you’re too selfish to deal with the immigrants, who let’s face it, will still be entering our country regardless of whether we leave the union or not. Well I’ll tell you what: Fuck you Larry, fuck you Rhonda, and fuck you every single fucking brexit supporter in this stupid world. You can cut me off the line now.

He is cut off the line. He throws his computer against the wall.

Dave: I can’t take any more of this shit hole.

Dave walks out of his house onto Cardiff City Centre. He walks across the road but while not looking, a car knocks him over. The man driving sees if he is okay. He’s dead.

Driver: Oh my god-Could somebody call an ambulance? Could somebody please call an ambulance? He’s dead. I killed him. I-Oh my god-

On the News Channel

Rhonda: I’d like to apologize for all of that profanity there.

Cameraman: Well to be honest, he was just speaking his mind.

Rhonda: Sorry, that’s our Cameraman, Max. Please be quiet, Max.

Cameraman: Why should I be quiet? I have just as much right to speak as you do.

Rhonda: You’re the cameraman, and I’m the host.

Cameraman: Well you’re rubbish at it. There you go. I’ve been inspired by Dave to speak my mind so I’m going to do that. I don’t think you’re a good host.

Rhonda: This has gotten too far away from the debate now.

Larry: Yes. Could you please cut me off the line?

Rhonda: No, Larry, we’ll continue the debate now.

Larry: Well there’s nobody interesting enough to debate to. I’m going to cut myself off the line. This debate has just descended into utter madness.

Cameraman: Still better than the shit that Rhonda comes out with.

Rhonda: What? I’ve never been rude to you.

Cameraman: For a matter of fact, yes you have. All of this polite persona is just put on. You are really a bitch. The biggest bitch that I’ve ever met, like Dave said when he was put on the phone. You’ve been a bitch to everyone you’ve met.

Rhonda: You know what, I’m going to get the hell out of here.

Cameraman: I think you should. We’ll find a better host to take over from you.

Rhonda: I can’t take any more of this. Thankyou for all of your time, viewers, and I’m sorry for this. This could be the end of Cardiff News Central as we know it.

Crew Member: Maybe it will be the end full stop. There’s no point running this station anymore. It’s just shit. It’s just pure shit.

Rhonda: Oh shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up.

Cameraman: Well you know what, we’re shutting you up. After everything you’ve put us through, we’re shutting you and this channel up. Or more like down. The world won’t miss Cardiff News Central, and neither will we.

Rhonda: Well I hope that you burn in hell. Every single one of you. Can you please turn the camera off you stupid twat?

Cameraman: No, we’re broadcasting to the world exactly what sort of person Rhonda Trent is. You see this everyone-This is Rhonda Trent. That woman that you watched on the television over the past six years is not the true Rhonda Trent. That’s just some kind of persona that she adopts, but sadly she’s not really like-

Rhonda slaps the Cameraman in the face

Rhonda: Well maybe the world world has just seen me slap you in the face.

She walks towards the door. The masked man from the explosion bursts through the door with a gun and guns down the crew. Rhonda ducks behind her desk. The man shoots the Cameraman in the head. He dives over the desk and grabs Rhonda.

Rhonda: Please don’t hurt me. Is this for everything bad I’ve done? I’ll make up for what I have done. I’ll make up for everything that I have been.

Man: Oh no, it’s not for who you are or who you should have been. This is just the beginning of the murder spree and the new age.

Rhonda: What the hell are you talking about? Put me down.

Man: I don’t think I’m going to do that.

Rhonda: Well if you kill me now then the whole world will know. This is broadcasting out to the whole nation. We’re live.

Man: Oh for goodness sake.

The Man moves towards the camera and turns it off. Rhonda hurries out of the door. The man hurries after her, leaps towards her and kicks her towards the wall. He grabs a knife.

Man: I was going to make it quick and painless for you, but after that, there’s no chance I’m going to let you die an easy death.

Rhonda: Please spare me. Please don’t hurt me.

Man: Don’t think you can get away with that trick. I don’t have any emotions anymore.

The Man stabs Rhonda and hurries off. Gwen and Jack are driving.

Gwen: Did you ever recover from what happened five years ago?

Jack: No I did not. Like you said, I don’t think anyone could. Not even me. It was an awful time, it truly was, but I guess now we’re back together, it seems right to move on.

Gwen: Why should we? It’s something that will always be a part of us.

Jack: I know that you lost Ryhs, and you must relive that moment over and over again in your head, but today is the day that we’ve got to move on.

Gwen: I don’t think so, Jack. I don’t think that day will ever come.

Gwen’s phone rings. It is a phone call from Andy.

Gwen: Hello Andy, what is it? Have you got any updates on the explosion?

Andy: Are you with Jae and Sebastian or have you separated?

Gwen: No, for a matter of fact, I’m with Jack. Why what’s wrong?

Andy: Jack is back? Oh, it’s been such a long time since I last saw him. But anyway, I need you to get down to the TV station-Cardiff News Central. There’s been an attack.

Gwen: What kind of attack? Sorry for adopting Sebastian’s first question.

Andy: No problem. There was a shooting that was shown live on air. A debate about Brexit went awry and then a man came in and killed everyone, although it is unclear whether the host of the show, Rhonda Trent, is still alive.

Gwen: I always liked Rhonda. I hope she’s okay.

Jack: Trust me, you won’t like her once you’ve met her.

Gwen: We’ll be right there, Andy. Maybe the explosion could be connected to this in some way. I’ll speak to you again once we have got there.

Jack and Gwen arrive at the radio station. Rhonda is bleeding out against a wall.

Gwen: It’s okay, Rhonda, we’re here, and an ambulance is on its way.

Rhonda: I think I’ll be fine. I’ve lost a lot of blood but I’m sure that I’ll be fine.

Jack: You don’t look fine, Rhonda. In fact, you look the most separated from fine.

Rhonda: Oh not you, Jack. You know what, I didn’t want to see you again and now you are here, I wish that the stabbing had finished me off.

Gwen: Do you know who it was that did this to you?

Rhonda: He was a masked man, but he never told me a name. Why would he? You must have seen what happened. He killed everyone. Everyone. It was a hard day already at the station but that’s just going to end everything.

Jack: We’ll worry about the state of your channel later. Let’s save your life first.

Rhonda: The channel is my life, and I cannot live without it, Jack. I’m sorry, but I’ve got to worry about it, because without it, there is no future for me.

Gwen: We’ve got to get you out of here. That man could be back here soon to finish you off and we don’t want that.

Rhonda: Well I don’t see the point of living. I’ve not got any family or friends left, so I might as well just die. I might as well let that man come back and dig the final nail in the coffin.

Jack: Well we’re not going to let that happen, Rhonda, even if you want it to. The ambulance will be here shortly, and I’ll take you to the Torchwood hub for questioning.

Rhonda: Oh that place will bring back old memories that I don’t want to remember.

Gwen: It will for me too, but I want to see what Jack’s done with it in the rebuild.

Rhonda: Trust me, Jack’s no decorator, and it’s not to my taste, but you’ll probably like it. I bet he’s told you I’m a bitch, and it’s true, I am, but we don’t have to be friends and I don’t really care whether we are. When is the ambulance arriving?

Gwen: It will be here in a matter of seconds, I assure you, Rhonda.

Rhonda: I think it might be best that I get out of here. Come to think of it, I don’t want to die. I’ve got a lot of things I still want to achieve before I do that.

Jack: Don’t worry, your life is in our hands, and while it is, we won’t let you lose it.

Gwen: Jack, you can take Rhonda in the ambulance to make sure that man doesn’t come back and attack here when she’s at her most vulnerable, and I’ll stay here to see if that man comes back, and if he does, I’ll lock him up.

Jack: Are you sure you will be able to cope with that, Gwen?

Rhonda: Yes, that man is an unstoppable killing machine.

Gwen: Well he didn’t kill you, so I’m sure that I’ll be fine. And if not, then you’ll all just have to pick up the pieces won’t you.

Jack: Let me know if you find him. I want to ask him a few questions myself.

Gwen: Of course you do, Jack. You always do.

The Ambulance arrives and departs with Jack and Rhonda. 5 Years Earlier in 2011, Rhonda meets Jack outside of the Torchwood Hub.

Rhonda: It’s Captain Jack Harkness, isn’t it? I’m glad you could talk.

Jack: I’ve not got much time. I’ve been spending all my time rebuilding the hub and I’ve still got quite a lot of work to do. Come with me.

Rhonda and Jack stood on the platform. They are elevated into the Torchwood hub which looks similar to before, but is incomplete.

Jack: Can I get you a drink or any kind of refreshment, Rhonda?

Rhonda: No, you’re totally fine. Wow, this place is-Not as good as I thought it was going to be. People who have been here before told me it was a grand place.

Jack: It is a grand place. It’s just incomplete for the moment. Anyway, Rhonda, down to business, what did you want to tell me today? Why did you want to meet up?

Rhonda: I’ve heard whispers of all of this before. Torchwood has been standing here since the days of Queen Victoria, all quiet and everything, protecting the world from exterterrestrial threats. I want to know more. I want to know more about Torchwood.

Jack: There’s only a certain amount of things that I can tell you.

Rhonda: Okay, tell me this, what makes up Torchwood? Who are the staff? Where are they now? Is it just you doing this alone?

Jack: It is just me. A few things have happened recently which have made me all alone doing this job. There were others, but something huge happened. Something that changed everyones lives forever and not in a good way.

Rhonda: I’m sorry to hear that. Or at least I would be sorry if I cared, but the fact is I couldn’t care less. I don’t mean to bother you in this rebuild, because I know you need to make this place look and feel better than it is because at the moment it’s a total crap hole.

Jack: Thankyou, you seem like the most charming woman on the planet.

Rhonda: Have you faced any aliens recently? We know you had involvement in events with the miracle but I wanted to know whether any threats have faced Cardiff which could pose an imminent threat. Because I think the public will share that.

Jack: You do know that I’m not letting you share this interview with the public? This is for your ears and your ears only, do you understand that?

Rhonda: Okay, well I’m wondering: Are there any imminent threats to Cardiff?

Jack: There was something, after the miracle, only a few months ago, which could have posed a threat to Cardiff now but we have dealt with it, so it is fine.

Rhonda: I’m intrigued to know more. If I’m aloud to know more, that is.

Jack: I guess it wouldn’t do any harm to tell you. There was an item we found known as the Death Gauntlet, or that’s what we know it as anyway. It harvests onto 100 souls at a time and kills all of them at once. It’s an easy killing machine, and was activated not long ago. It’s been destroyed now, so unless there is another, it poses no threat.

Rhonda: So you’re saying there’s a possibility that there is another one?

Jack: Of course there’s a possibility. There’s a possibility for most things. But it’s probably a very low possibility. Now then, I’ve got to get on with decorating, so if you could leave now then that would be super.

Rhonda: Maybe I’m not done asking the questions yet.

Jack: Well maybe I’m done answering them. I’ll escort you out?

Rhonda: You know what, Jack? I’ve heard some good things about you in the past. I’ve heard that you’re a charming and gentle and kind man, but I don’t think you are. There’s something cold. Infinitely cold. And it’s buried deep inside you.

Jack: I know, but that’s mainly because you’re here and I can’t say I’m too fond of you, Rhonda. If you could please keep this from the public, that would be great.

Rhonda: I’m not going to keep it from the public, and you know that.

Jack: Of course I do. I’ve met enough people like you to know that by now.

Rhonda: So you’re just going to let me go off with all your secrets then?

Jack grabs a gun and pointed it towards your head.

Jack: I think you also knew that I wasn’t going to do that, didn’t you? So then, Rhonda, just so you know, I am not a man to be messed with. If you ever get on the wrong side of me and disobey my instructions or do anything that I tell you not to, I will not hesitate to kill you. I am not like my friend the Doctor who refuses to commit any form of violence. I will shoot you in the head 300 times if I have to. Now, if you want to get on the bad side of me, I’d tell you now if I were you so I could kill you painlessly. But if you dare do any of the things I tell you or have told you not to, I will hunt you down and make your death as painful as I possibly can. Do you hear me or do I have to kill you to make myself clear?

Rhonda: I was right about you being infinitely cold. And it’s okay, your secret is safe with me, do not worry. I just wanted to see what kind of man you really are, Captain Jack Harkness. Goodbye then, Jack. Maybe we’ll meet again.

Jack: I hope we don’t, and if we do, I hope it’s not for your death.

Rhonda: Oh I’m sure it won’t be. You can trust me after all.

In 2016, Rhonda and Jack are talking in the ambulance

Rhonda: You never came back to kill me, you know?

Jack: That’s because you never shared what I told you on that day, and I am pleased that you didn’t, because if you did you would have regretted it.

Rhonda: I regret turning up to the Torchwood hub in the first place. And I regret meeting you too. I was right on that day that you are spiteful, and rude, and infinitely cold. You truly are the worst of what humanity has to offer.

Jack: And that is coming from you. If you want me to keep you safe from this murderer man, then I would not get onto my bad side. It’s not advisable to do that.

Rhonda: Oh, this isn’t me getting on your bad side. This is me being nice to you. You see, many people have told me that I am not capable of kindness, and that’s probably right, because I’m cold, and I don’t allow for emotions. Why would you allow for emotions anyway? They’re just going to get you hurt.

Jack: And you say that I’m the worst of what humanity has to offer?

Rhonda: Of course you are. You are even worse than I am. I know nobody would believe that, but I know what you are, and I know what you are like. I regret knowing that, I really do. I have done during every single breath of air I breathed in the last five years, but I do know. I really do. And now you’re the only hope of keeping me alive.

Jack: If that man wants you dead for some reason, then it is likely that he will come back, so don’t worry, we will protect you. I can promise you that.

Rhonda: I heard there was an explosion at the docks. Is that true?

Jack: Yes, and there’s a chance that the two could be connected and could have been committed by the same man. Somebody out there is trying to get my attention for some reason, and I’m going to give it to them.

Rhonda: Are you really sure that is a good idea?

Jack: I do know what I am doing here, Rhonda. People’s lives are in danger and I need to do all that I can to save them from death at the hands of this man. I’ll try to make sure that your friends were the last people to die because of him.

Rhonda: First of all, they weren’t my friends. And second of all, I don’t think you can stop him. I saw him today and he is capable of quite a lot. I know I survived, but I only did so barely. He will claim more lives. Possibly more tonight.

Jack: We’ll make sure that doesn’t happen, Rhonda.

Rhonda: I don’t think you’re making sure of anything. You’re sitting here in this ambulance with me, and that isn’t going to save people from dying.

Jack: You’re probably next on his list. He’s going to make sure that you die. I’m going to make sure that you do not. The police will protect the city, Gwen will make sure of that.

Rhonda: I’m sure she will. But nobody is safe from this man. He is the most capable fighter I have ever encountered. It was almost inhuman how well he could fight.

Jack: Don’t worry, I know some people who are trained in combat, probably more so than this man. We’ll make sure that his reign of terror across the city does not continue.

Jae and Sebastian spot the masked man. They grab a weapon.

Sebastian: That man looks pretty suspicious. I think we should check him out.

Jae: Alright, though it’s pretty hard for us to judge. We have no idea who the man responsible for these crimes could be, and we have no idea whether the docking explosion and the TV station murders were actually connected.

Sebastian: Come on? Two crimes on the same night? I think this hooded man could be responsible for one of them. We have to risk pointing blame.

Jae: Okay, we’ll get out of the van and take him in for questioning. But if he’s not responsible for any of this then you’re going to be blamed.

Jae and Sebastian exit the car and point a gun at the man, who turns around.

Jae: This is the Police. Put your hands on your head or else we shoot.

Man: Did you really think that I was afraid of your bullets?

Sebastian: Don’t move, or we will make you afraid of our bullets.

Jae and Sebastian move forward. The man runs. Jae and Sebastian both shoot at him but he dodges the bullets. Jae and Sebastian get back inside of the car and drive.

Sebastian: Andy said that the man in the video was the most trained fighter he had ever seen. It looks like we have found the right culprit.

Jae: Indeed, I think we have. Drive as quickly as you can.

Gwen waits in the alleyway armed. The man approaches her with a sword.

Gwen: Put your hands behind your head, I’m police.

Man: Gwen Cooper isn’t it? It’s a pleasure to meet you.

Gwen: I recognise your voice from somewhere but I don’t know where from. Who are you?

Man: I’m the man responsible for the crimes, and I’m looking for Rhonda Trent from Cardiff News Central. She’s the next person on my list, well…

Gwen: She’s safe from you. You’re under arrest.

Man: I think you underestimate me. Do you really not know who I am?

Gwen: Wait-No-No-It-

The Man slashes Gwen’s throat. She drops to the floor in pools of blood.
